I’ve been having the same issue with team viewer over the last couple years. Been using it for like 20 years with no problems. If they had a one time purchase option for light users, I’d be tempted to buy it, but all they have are subscriptions. I even went through the process of telling them I wasn’t a commercial user, they agreed, removed the ban then the next time I used it got rebanned. Lol

I know it's late but remove the door seal at the headliner in rear doors, check the moon roof drains. The metal ruste off and the drains fall down and leak right there. It's hard to see from the top. And a side not many insurances cover water intrusion damage on vehicles. I've done probably 3 under at least partial insurance coverage.

Mario, when you Diagnose CAN Bus issues don’t bother finding and disconnecting every control module on that particular bus. Run a quick test on your diagnosis tool, erase all faults and safe the results for comparison. Find the CAN distributor and remove and plug back in each CAN connector until the wave form switches back from distorted to normal. Scan again and clear all faults. Scan again and see which control module is missing now. That’s how I do it. It takes 5 minutes and you don’t have to rip the whole car apart to get to all the control modules.
@SuperMarioDiagnostics2 жыл бұрын
Not every vehicle has a can distributor like Mercedes does. Many vehicles give you no option but to disconnect each module

Have you driven any range rovers? To be fair they are a pain in the ass to fix / pay for maintenance but are probably one of the nicest vehicles to drive ! Much like anything in life if it’s nice there will more than like be drama with it 😜
@rysacroft3 жыл бұрын
@@billytremoloband7456 No I have not driven one. I'm still driving my 16 y.o. Kia 2.0L Diesel. When it dies I'll look around for a new car but it won't be a Range Rover. I'm now retired so I don't have the need to cart around a bunch of tools. Maybe I'll buy a Skoda Yeti.
@billytremoloband74563 жыл бұрын
spannerman yeti are a fine car, my own day to day car is a 302.000km ‘09 mk6 golf diesel and it runs like a clock also averages between 45 and 60 uk mpg so I reckon a yeti with similar engine would be a good choice 👍
@Yotataco043 жыл бұрын
@@billytremoloband7456 you kinda have to be more specific on year and models. Evouqes ride like crap. And older Rovers are even worse. But yes 13+ full size range rovers ride extremely well. Well except when they are the back of a tow truck lol.

Chris Walton to be fair the disco 4 and l322 drive very well especially with the 8 speed transmission and 3.0 twin turbo d in disco and 4.4d in l322! No doubt the l405 is up another notch ! Well just my opinion from time carrying out test drives while working @ JLR

I learned something new. Just curious why not disable modules by taking out fuses ?
@SuperMarioDiagnostics3 жыл бұрын
Because the water is the problem. Removing power from the module won't guarantee anything and might send you for a loop, overlooking a suspect module

If car was mine, i would go to junkyard and get me - 1. rear right seat module(and harness) , 2. immo module, 3. gateway module. I'm pretty sure the Seat module is just plug and play. Not sure about the other two modules. I think the gateway module can be set with aftermarket scantool? But the worst part is the immo module, for it , i guess PCM and IMMO modules must be cracked open and programmed on the PCB? I guess there's specialized hackers forums where you pay tax and the guys there will tell you what to change.
@Yotataco043 жыл бұрын
Good luck programming a used RFA. Good news is they are relatively cheap in those. They are actually cheaper than the keys. Lol. You could probably get away with the rest. It's kind of a crap shoot.
@SuperMarioDiagnostics3 жыл бұрын
Resetting the module will allow for its programming
@Yotataco043 жыл бұрын
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics how do you reset it? Even Land Rover help desk tells you once the vin is programmed to it the module is a brick for any other vin. Not that they haven't been wrong MANY times before. Lol

You use a programmer to write the dump file of a new module directly into the MCU of the original module.

It sucks billing a customer for time spent for a fix they refuse to authorize. The vehicle turns into an "almost done" and getting towed away. But then again a water damaged Rover, who's to say it was almost done, that's not 100%. When it comes to bank rolling a RR diag, having a customer with a small wallet freaking sucks.
