It doesn't seem like a big deal to some at the moment, but it could be the beginning of something terrible. We read a book last year called Fahrenheit 451, where this dystopian society censored everything that could possibly be offensive. All Books were burned, curious people disappeared, no one went outside, and it was awful. Could this eventually be our future?

What I think needs to happen is having a secondary monetization group, like beers, or other companies that don't care as much about the specific issues. Then if it doesn't make it, there's automatically a backup. That's if they don't get rid of the train wreck as a whole.

man this shit hits hard for a lot of different reasons. I've struggled growing up because I was always a creative person but I had alot of people around me who stifled my creativity. I internalized a lot of feelings of inability and this deep fear of failure and now that im back to writing everyday and picking up a guitar every day and im even drawing again I was beginning to think i might finally be ready to start taking myself seriously as an artist. Somewhere in the course of 22 years I learned to hate myself. Somewhere else in there I realized it had happened and I realized it was because i wasn't letting myself create. Watching people like you guys, game grumps, oney and stamper and everyone else from sleepycabin inspired me and gave me the courage to finally be what I wanted to be and start putting myself out there that said in the past couple months i've put together an outline for a show, some rough episode ideas, a few shitty storyboards and a bunch of concept drawings for characters. I started recording myself playing, I even figured out how to sing and play which is something I used to be terrified to do. Anyways what im really trying to say is that Im not gonna let this shit deter me. its just weird now that i feel like youtube might not be the most friendly platform to host my shit anymore. its weird now that it feels like theres going to be a major fucking change and a lot of people who I give a shit about are being silenced and having part of their livelihood taken away from them. Its weird that the very same community that inspired me to come out of my shell and stop being such a pussy and just make something already might be on its way out before I even really get to participate

So they're pretty much not letting you say anything contrary to popular opinion. They are making major mistakes with the way they are trying to enforce these rules. If you're going to enforce rules enforce them for EVERYONE, not just one person. This is going to ruin what youtube is all about. I really enjoy these podcasts, but I really think that there should be background music. A nice cafe/bossa/jazz list would work very well.
