The thing is, the reason the kids acted like that was because the sister implemented herself as the mother, so the kids would build up a great relationship with her but with their own mother they would think she’s terrible. That’s probably a huge reason why they misbehaved

I'm sure that didn't help the behavior situation... but it seems like the parents decided to have kids when their lifestyle didn't actually leave time for them to fill the roles of parents and that sucks for the kids. I have to wonder if the sister saw and resented that on the kids behalf and just dealt with it in a very unfortunate way.
