Just a fun fact, Jensen really was in pain while shooting that last scene in Hell. The hooks and stuff were digging into his body painfully and he was suspended in the air for hours with the fake blood made from corn syrup that dries onto your skin, he was very tired and had no problem channeling the pain as Dean because of what he was really feeling.

Funny how you guys were talking about being jumped together when Jensen and Jared along with a friend of Jared’s got jumped during season one. Jensen managed by escape but when he looked back for Jared he saw about three to four people trying to gang up on him. Jensen jumped right back in, throwing punches and kicking at people. He got to Jared and pulled him out of there. Pretty sure they sent a few guys to the hospital. Coincidentally they had just finished undergoing fight training for the show.

@@kyroking9934 so J+J and friend were walking around Vancouver and happened to walk past a bar with some people in front of it. This group of people had just been kicked out of the bar for fighting. But when J+J and friend passed by, a woman in the group saw Jensen and said “That’s the guy.” She meant it as that’s the guy from the show but the men in her group thought that’s the guy that we/you were fighting with and they just started swinging. So mistaken identity would be the motive. I think they’ve talked about it at a few conventions.

28:14 here's the thing and why nathan is right because like most people who lose their parents, they would still deal with the grief BUT they could have moved on from that moment in their lives to healing, letting go. Instead, John became obsessed with it and literally had his kids not heal from it. Why you think they have an unhealthy issue with letting go. Why you think Dean act like he is responsible for Sam's life and he needs to be there so nothing bad happens to it. Dean wouldn't have felt like this was a choice he HAD to make. He could have been hunting and not rope his children in the same way but that was his own selfishness and putting Sam responsibility of Dean when he was a kid himself.

Fun fact! Sam was supposed to listen to Ruby & use his powers to save Dean. But because of the Writers Strike they didn't have time to flesh that arc out & had to go through with sending Dean to hell. *BUT* it got us the best character of all time, so I'm certainly not complaining

If John hadn’t raise Sam and Dean as hunters and continued to give them a regular life, Sam would have still got those powers when he turned 21/22 and he still would have been pulled into this mess. He would have just been unprepared and have no idea what was going on. Also he wouldn’t have Dean knowing anything either to back him up. So Both of them including John would have been sitting ducks to this situation. That’s the scary thought for them. Especially since they probably wouldn’t have met all the people in the hunting community, including Missouri, Bobby, Ellen and Joe who could help them. They wouldn’t have known about Elkins and the Colt. They wouldn’t have known anything.

I can't get over how mortified Cameron and Davions faces were when Dean was getting torn to shreds. Strap in guys because there's a LOT more where that came from. I cannot say this enough though I can hardly wait for 4x1. This show literally switches gears from this point on and I'm so fucking excited to see your reactions to it. Can we please stop reducing Dean to just his looks and that being the only reason people love him? Only toxic Dean haters think that. I mean, yes he is attractive, but we love him because he is imperfectly perfect. He has his flaws, but he has a lot of great qualities, too, and he offers way more than just his looks. Anyway, season 3 is one of my favorite seasons and I thought this was a great season finale and I just love Cameron and Davion's many theories as to what's gonna happen in season 4. However, as many times as I have seen this episode, I never noticed how hysterical Sam was when the hellhounds were ripping Dean apart, which added to an already sad situation. And that last shot of Dean hanging on the hooks in hell is hands down the most iconic image in the history of the show. I know season 4 is next, and although it isn't my favorite, it's still a good season with a lot of interesting things that happen, so I'm looking forward to that reaction.

I love this season finale so much; It's so good. Seeing Lilith try to use her powers to kill Sam, and watching it ultimately fail, shows how big of pussies demons really are when their abilities don't work. I'm with Davion. I'm a huge Dean fan, but seeing Sam completely sob over his brother's Hell-bound corpse really gave me some strong emotions I truly forgot I had. Which shows that we aren't just Dean fans, we're Supernatural fans. I'm legit so hyped for s4. S4 & 5 are probably my favorite seasons of this show. Anyways, great reaction! REALLY can't wait for the next! 💯🔥

Can't imagine how everyone who watched the show as it came out must've felt-the wait would've been torture. speaking of s4 (also s5 as well) they are amazingly written! The show was supposed to last for just five seasons before it was renewed so season 1 to 5 are all sort of leaning into the same arc. personally-for reasons I wont get into because of spoilers- these next two seasons are just not my cup of tea. I read it wasn't suppose to end with 5 seasons, Eric kripke said "I never wrote a 5 season arc, the last episode of season 5 was a season finale not a series finale. He said he was burnt out and needed a break so he left it in the hands of people he trusted and he was happy for the show to continue. The show was always under threat of getting cancelled in the early seasons 😀😃

At the time, there was a writer's strike, so that's why it's a shorter season. And several shows were cancelled because of it, so nobody really knew if that was a season finale or a series finale. It was a nerve-wracking time, let me tell you. I remember not sleeping well the week before this episode, I got so anxious to see what they were going to do.
