Yknow I think my favorite thing is that Cas can literally control what he does, so he could have juts zapped in there and been like "Sup I'm Castiel, I'm an angel n shit" but no he wanted to be all fucken dramatic by both making them wait, making the shutters bang open and closed, and then have the lights explode as he dramatically opened the door and walked towards Dean like.... someone was in drama queen. I could imagine him thinking it out and being like "Yah this is gonna be so cool"

I must agree, yeah... To me, it felt kind of... dunno, Disney-like? Anticlimatic? I hold close to my heart those 5 seasons which I actually feel were the real show, and think of anything later as extra. I still enjoy it quite a lot, though, and love a lot of the things they come up with :) I do want to see Cas back on his feet, and a little life return to the Winchester brothers, since they've been spiralling down more and more and they're wrecked after this all.

Fun fact: Castiel was originally supposed to only be in a few episodes and be killed by Alastair in 4x16. However, he was so popular with fans AND critics that they kept him. Anna was created to replace him initially and they killed her off as they couldn't find anything else to do with her. I read that it was the fans reaction that scene at the end of the Halloween episode that convinced them to keep Cas. They also planned to kill him off at the end of Swan Song but again changed their mind.

The only ones killed by humans really are Zachariah who Dean caught by surprise, that nameless angel in early season 9 Dean got when he was distracted by Gadreel and Tamiel who Claire literally stabbed in the back. Demons have only gotten a couple such as Hester (surprise), the angel Crowley shot with a gun and Adina who he removed the grace of before she could react.

I love that once you get to know castiel as a character, you go back and watch this scene and realize he wasnt trying to be dramatic. From his perspective, he walked in and tried to have a conversation.

I love the whispering sound effect swirling around when Castiel turns around and tap Bobby on his forehead, all powerful and all that and Bobby just slips. That point of time, that scene was awesome. The suspense, the excitement was gripping me. I still had no idea if he was the good guy or bad guy. I was nearly jumping when watching that part. You know the idea was in my head, and Castiel confirms it coolly by saying, "I'm an angel of the Lord" than im like, aHahx! awesome!
