Meg was possessed by a low level demon who didn't care about the young girl it was possessing. Jimmy was possessed by the angel Castiel who actually cares about human life, so Castiel healed the body when it was shot at or stabbed, etc.

Meg was hardly a low level demon, being the adopted? daughter of Azazel. She even said that she was above minor league demons as she entered that church, and according to her lower ranking demons physically cannot enter a church. And yeah, she might have been lying, but Pastor Jim seemed pretty damn certain on that little fact before she slit his throat.

Because angels heal their hosts bodies... Something demons cant and wont do even if they could.

I think Sam only exorcised the demon from the wife because he drank the blood of the one demon he killed, so he got all suped up on demon blood and was only then able to do so, that and he doesn't know for sure if the demon hosts are already beyond repair or not, while she was clearly able to be saved.

Yep. He had to kill first so could get blood to exorcise.

Great reaction as always. Quite a bunch of dark and emotionally heavy episodes we have at the end of this season... As to why Jimmy was perfectly fine while Meg (the human, not the demon) was dying after being depossessed - demons cannot just go and heal people, they don't have the ability (and if they had, they probably wouldn't care). The body of a person possessed by a demon will take all the damage. An angel, however, will heal its vessel whenever it is hurt. So when Castiel "left", Jimmy was completely healthy.

Yeah, Sam’s whole ending arc here is a bit hard to watch. Without his powers, killing the hosts is really the only option. An exorcism isn’t really a viable option in the middle of battle. And as we see, Sam’s powers allowed the wife to survive, helping Jimmy out. So Sam’s want to help people is understandable. But he has clearly crossed a line where the benefits of his powers are just his rationalization that his dangerous addiction is worth it. It will be interesting to see how this addiction story continues.

Meg was possesed by a demon and demons cant heal your wounds or anything IF they possess you. It just looks like you're alive when you're actually dead. However castiel is an angel and tiny wounds or gun shots or even deep blades can restore the human vessel, so thats why jimmy was alive when cas was gone.

Sam's running out of power so he couldn't use them. I guess it's also his state of mind, like any other drug. Longer he takes it he needs more to get affected. That Jimmy voice is pretty much Misha in real life.

Demons and Angels are very different, how they enter a vessel, what is required, and how they leave, Angels are a lot nicer on both sides. I'm not sure if its revealed in this episode how yet, if not I'll refrain from spoiling it, but if so then I can safely say it later on (I'm only 5 minutes into your video right now)
