About the Gilmore Girls scene, read a great fan's theory: When Sam was in college he had to earn some money, so he auditioned for the Dean role in the series and he got it but he never told his bro. He looked awkward and run off cause he didn't want to be recognized by people from the cast and crew :-D

I read somewhere that the photo album Tara has in this episode was a play on Jensen's love of photography. I think in these early seasons he was known to take pictures of the crew and stuff.

Spn was so impressively fearless in calling out their studio and acknowledging Jared's fame. When you're only in your second season and don't fear your studio or your audience and can still make a great and believable SPN ep- that combo of gumption and skills must either be one more piece of the magic formula for this show or the writers were high. Or both. I wonder if they knew at the time whether they were picked up yet for season 3 or if this was rumblings before the writers strike?

1:32 The fact that Jared was actually part of Gilmore Girls and when the announcer says "If you look around you might catch one of the show's stars" and the camera pans towards Jared. The better thing is, his character name was......have a wild guess.......... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . DEAN Forester. XD

Thanks for the reaction! This was pretty much a funny monster hunt. I think they do this close to the finales for seasons because you'll need it, for the more intense episodes coming up.

So glad you liked it. I thought you might not. I'm actually surprised you gave it such a good rating. I mostly like it for the funny aspect of it and making fun of themselves. Basically what this episode was doing. I also liked how cute Dean was, being a PA. Sad, too, though. Much of what was said between the director, writer and others are things pulled from the show itself. The first two seasons purposefully were given a more subdued color. By Season 3 that was over and the show was filmed in full color. Also, the first two seasons were shot on film. They started the digital shooting with Season 3. The difference is obvious. The guys liked it because it meant less makeup. I'd be interested in seeing what season 1 and 2 would have looked like in full color.
