@Eve __ ahh ok. So if I understood correctly, you need acrylic paint because there is oil, watercolor, etc. and having no acrylic means you don’t have the variety of paint you might need. Did I get that correct? I feel like I’m doing an ELA assignment 😂

Just imagine an art teacher in a few hundred years discussing this painting with their art students.. all the conclusions they would come to, as to why there is such an interesting underpainting - there must be a deeper meaning - what did Maestra Rae Dizzle want to tell? Something that I now do because I got into art a long while back is the way I look at objects and faces. Once you have tried to draw portraits and/or things you begin to realize how detailed things actually are. I could stare at a wall for a solid 10 minutes, just observing all of the different values and colors that are represented in the wall. It's a cool ability.

Amazing painting and paint collection! I like the cheaper craft acrylics for...well...crafty stuff. Like painting small wooden crates to make doll furniture. Brown mixed with textile medium is also good for applying freckles onto doll skin. A project like that would take me even longer since I have a day job.

My paints all live in a Tupperware shoebox from Dollar Tree, and a clementine box with nice graphics. I turned a couple of San Pellegrino cans into brush holders. Cheap 'n' cheerful.

I have never tried oil paints, but they are on my art bucket list. Yes, I have an art bucket list..LOL. I have tons of different kinds of acrylic and watercolor. I also have tons of Genesis paint, which is a type of paint you have to heat to cure. I loved this video seeing the different types of paints you have .
