S7 photos look processed as fuck. P9 FAR more natural... Notice how your nose mole doesn't exist on the S7...

i am a die hard htc fan , this year 10 came out and i took it , compared the camera with frends s 7 (die hard samsung fan too) and htc had far more natural colors( in some sun outdor situations a litlle pinkish as the s7), although s7 came out with some really killer photos at dawn, at sun s7 saturates a lot , and than my mother bought p9, never took a picture at dark with it etc , but at day time(sun or rain or clouthey ) , p9 wipes ass with my htc 10 , and friend's s7 , the depth of pictures is insane , black and white , my god O.o. I was amassed how pictures on p9 have some kind of almost artistic note to it. As an HTC fan , i find my perspective not biased at all, and believe me , there is even no competition here , p9 just kills 10 and 7 when it comes to shoots Cheers

The S7 has beauty mode turned on by default on auto. You can turn that off.

2 things, -Make the stabilization test a little bit longer (Try 100% crop cause I think p9 quality is really really bad with Stablization), -It would be great to cover (showed us) the shallow depth of field faking thing on P9. other than that Your comparisons are amazing and so informative and they are my favorite. Great review, as usual!! I thought the P9 was going to fight a little more... but numbers are numbers and f1.7 is too much against 2.2, even for Leica. So proud of my S7!! Last year I decided not to buy the S6... great mistake: Z3!! 😭

Colour representation was overall better on the P9 i would say, and although the sharpening can be helpful on a few shots on the S7, there is some haloing in some shots and it attempts to sharpen the out of focus areas despite it's shallow depth of field, this caused some noise and strange fringing in the flower shot. The lowlight selfie was better on the p9, way more detail retained, could have brightened in post and still looked much cleaner. A brighter image is not always a better one.

Huawei P9+ will have a better low light front facing as it is going to have an f/1.9 aperture size. and Huawei P9, if a little bit tweaked, can produce BETTER low light photos

Saf, it's better to say that the S7 has a 'faster' lens rather than 'wider' lens when talking about its better performance in low light; f/1.7 is 'faster' than f/2.2 Keep up the great work!

with night mode you need to adjust the exposure and ISO to get great night shots. I was impressed with some of the shots I took . Actually outdoes my S7. but the trade-off is you have to play around with the settings where you can get a pretty visible shot in the auto mode for S7. But, the P9 is made for photography fans that won't mind fiddling with controls.

1. Great comparison once again but i agree with some friends below : We need more daylight comparisons in order to check further the details and the dynamic range. 2. S7 is the clear winner here ( one level up in daylight shots, three levels up in low light shots ) 3. S6 has still the best camera for daylight shots ( one level up from S7) 4. All about P9's camera being the best and blah blah was pure marketing. Shame on you Huawei. 5. There is only one thing that it's great about P9 camera : The black&white photos which are fantastic.
