One meal a day can be a completely healthy way to live. IF That one meal is large, nutritionally dense, and contains a good variety of natural fat, natural protien and natural complex carbs. That intermittent fasting lifestyle also works best when you have body fat at least a few lbs above the base level to play with, basically if you have a healthy body fat percentage (or indeed you are overweight looking to metabolise fat) As body fat IS fuel, your body will begin to utilise stored sugars and then stored fats once the last meal is processed and dealt with (which for a lage varied meal takes around 5 hours)

I don’t think the supersized people should be allowed to go without any food you that long - how is that helping them with their diet ??
@Momoftwoboysandonecat5 жыл бұрын
unproblematic it’s showing her that she doesn’t need to eat every hour. Because she had the freedom to eat whenever that was her problem. Two days for of no eating actually isn’t too bad, she has enough fat to hold her over. And I’m not being nasty, that’s what fat is, energy deposits.
@unproblematic41745 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth C I get that but fat doesn’t offer nutrients, fibre and all the other things our body needs. I personally think it’s a bit extreme to deprive the supersize people from food for a long duration of time just to show them how bad their diet is.
@Momoftwoboysandonecat5 жыл бұрын
@@unproblematic4174 You're right it doesn't, but it is just two days. And before they are on the show they have to go through a full check up with doctors and blood testing. They have to be medically cleared beforehand, so I know it seems cruel I know I wouldn't enjoy it but it has seemed to help these people. If it were longer of a fast I would worry too.
@ascent84875 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure it’s particularly helpful either. Eating nothing is not what anyone is aspiring to so what’s the point. But honestly neither makes sense to me. Eating bucket loads of possibly unhealthy food is not the goal of the super skinnies so what’s the point on both ends?
@fainitesbarley22455 жыл бұрын
It’s psychological. It makes both sides realise how bizarre their eating patterns are.

My question on Josh: Are you on benefits? What do you do for work if not? Going to sleep at 0300 and waking up at 1500? I wonder what his story is because Louise talks about her feelings, etc. I know from experience that people on the opposite end also can have emotional reasons for restricting. I’m looking forward to their updates. HE’S IN SCHOOL!!! Yesss!! I love it! And Louise looks so great and happy! 😍

I don't get how Louise lost 4 stone which took her to 20 stone, yet ended up a size 18 ( originally size 28). I was originally 16 stone, so 8 stone less than her, and lost 3 stone of that (now 13 stone) yet I'm still not a size 18 ( was size 22 to start with). Must be the height difference I suppose ( I'm only 5ft)

@@Annemarie-op9zh Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I also dug out some clothes today that I hadn't worn for ages ( some brand new) and tried them on. They are size 22 but feel about 1 size too big...pretty sure they must have fitted ok when I bought them so I'm now wondering if I had ended up more like a size 24 because I'm still thinking that surely 3 stone smaller would be more than 1 clothes size less. I'll never know though. Not too concerned as I'm just happy to have lost some weight.

Height AND shape play a huge role. I am about 5'8, but very pear-shaped with naturally wide hips and even when I was severely underweight, I couldn't get below a US 4-6, because anything smaller wouldn't fit my hips; they'd be baggy everywhere else, but still wouldn't fit. I'm sitting around a US 12 Long, now, after being roughly a 20/22 3 years ago (lost 100+ lbs after RNY). Other people my height weigh like 50lbs less than I currently do and wear a size 2, but they're straight up and down. Shape plays a lot into sizes. I've been on both sides of the spectrum and now am in "straight sizes", so I have seen and worn and struggled to buy it all lol.
@amandadavies..2 жыл бұрын
@@xxcobu I'm now 10 stone (140 lbs) and size 14 UK, which I think is US 10. So that's a drop of 4 sizes, but it took me 16 months. I've not finished yet as I haven't reached my goal, but I just can't see myself getting below this current size. I have seen people weigh more than me now yet they are in a smaller size. Weirdly interesting lol.
@Youngat40 Жыл бұрын
