That part really upset me too. I immediately started to think of how heartbroken it would make me feel hearing one of my boys say it. It’s not fair for that young man to not feel worthy! Shit, writing this comment makes me tear up for him. It was an absolute joy to see how happy he was in the end. I know he was upset by it only being 2 pounds but those 2 pounds really had him looking healthier. I can’t wsit for an update! Emma was a pleasure too. I love how respectful they treated each other. I know people are saying Emma was being rude but girl was hangry and handled it quite well! It was never all about her. She repeatedly spoke on how he needed to eat more for himself and asking him questions.

Bro trust me you can do it. I lost 12 kg during the quarantine just by fixing my diet and exercising a little right here in my bedroom. I used to make excuses by saying it's cuz of my hormones or bad metabolism or whatever but once I learned about proper nutrition and how your body produces, stores and burns fat from my college classes, it all makes sense.

@@skydragon84 I actually didn't exercise all that much, I only did some light workouts by this youtuber called Emily Wong. Most of the weight loss happened when I started eating less carbs and more protein + started doing Intermittent fasting. I fast about 16 hours a day and as a medical student myself, I highly recommend IF cuz that's really how you burn fat and it also makes your body renew it's cells by phagocytosis. Overall it has a lot of benefits.

Terry Evans I swear I understand boys being into solely skinny girls, I understand people don’t find this attractive , I understand it’s not healthy but fat and obese people really deserve appreciation. They are a huge part of our society and not different at all but they aren’t perceived as seriously as other people are. We all deserve to shut our judgmental minds off and listen to what they have to say and respect them fully. They’re among us and they’re full of amazing things to do and say. I hope people will cut off all this bullying to these people

Yeah, I know to skip at least 5-10 minutes in. The whole "duh-duh-DUUUUUUHHHHH the fat fatherland ...*gasp*!" thing is old. We're all being poisoned and dumbed down into eating junk, which chemically manipulates our bodies to eat more and more because it is designed to literally be addicting. Yes, it's bad, but people have to learn about things and take control of their food. The guy in this story could be thin as a rail and still drop dead of a heart attack at 45 because of his dreadful diet, so he's a little hypocritical wagging his finger at the lady about portion sizes. I felt terrible for the American granddaughter going into the fridge and it's nothing but labeled boxes and packages - nothing fresh and green.

I think really what happens is people have been trained to think it is cheaper to eat junk. Where I'm from a 2 pack of hot pockets are between 2.50-3.50 and a bag of apples ranges from 3.00 to 6.00 depending on what type and the amount in the bag. Numbers wise yes the hot pockets appear to be the less expensive item BUT if you look at the amount of food you get you're getting that 2.00 gets you 9 ounces of food when you buy hot pockets Vs 3.44 which gets you three pounds of food when you buy the apples.

Like when the woman said she spends most of her day thinking about food, they had her stand next to the kid's swing set and stare off into the distance to make it look like she was daydreaming about eating. They even had her wait outside for the pizza guy to show up to show her hunger desperation.

thank goodness there's a parent who realizes there's a problem w/ their diet and doesn't want to pass it on to her kid. I often see the sort of attitude, "Well if it's good enough for me then it's good enough for them" and "They just come from a big family". And often times there's one kid who eats less and is skinny and they are worried over and thought to not be getting nutrition. Like watching what you eat is a bad thing. And it's b/c they have a distorted view on what's healthy, believing that milk high in fat is more nutritious and those sorts of things.

High fat milk *is* better for you, though. Fat makes you feel full, so you don’t go trying to capture that feeling with a shit ton of sugar. We only drink whole milk and my kids are on the thin side. Strong, though. I guess, to be fair - we view milk as if it’s a food. I always tell them: milk is a meal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Milk higher in fat does actually contain more nutrients. Skimmed milk has more carbs than protein, by it also tastes like powdered milk.
