Went to visit a friend in Midland, had to drive over 350 miles from Dallas in a rental Hyundai (only thing I could rent at 23) starting at midnight. Cop clocked me topped out at 135mph. When I told him about the missed flight and having just got there, he gave me a verbal warning for the speed and said, "Welcome to Texas!" Nicest cop I've ever dealt with. Would visit again! Guitargeek4242 but there is a unofficial quota, they cant legally say "i have to get 10 tickets by the end of the day" but if they only issue 1 ticket a day that shit wont fly. they will get in trouble for not enforcing the laws or some shit.

BurroBurrito1 Absolutely, they do have to be proactive. 1 Ticket a day isn't realistic because people drive stupid. However, rather than quotas, they usually have goals that are made based on a curve. For instance, if you're writing 20 tickets a day and everyone else is writing 30, there is clearly something wrong and you need to step it up. But you won't get fired and you're pay won't go down, at least not immediately.
