5 years later... straight binge watch these cop moments n the fact that you had Balboni with you made me cry. I met him California in 2001 and he is one of the nicest people that I've ever met that is beyond celebrity status. Not only did he shake my hand he gave my mom a hug and gave us both separate rides in the Lamborghini Gallardo. Sorry for getting emotional but my mom passed a year-and-a-half ago and when she was on her deathbed she asked me if I remembered the time that we met the Lamborghini test driver. Every time I see him I can't stop crying thinking about that time that I actually got to school by Mom on someone she didn't know because she had no idea who he was. I don't know how I just came across these best of cop moments but this one really hit me hard. I love you Rob and just so you know we need to see more of you on VINWiki

As an Ex- State Trooper who Patrolled the Highway, I can't say I have a major issue with speeding if it is on an open Highway with no commuters, and if it is at a relatively acceptable speed. If you want to risk your ass, that is on you. But I have seen numerous rallies where they endanger the lives of other motorists by weaving in and out of traffic at excessive rates of speeds and have seen 2 deaths as a result and numerous other accidents with one resulting in the paralyzing of an innocent motorist. So all I can say is, if you choose to engage in hobbies of this nature, please just have some common sense and decency for other motorists. If you want to have fun in your sports cars, there are PLENTY of open highways in the US where you can have a blast without really ever worrying about killing innocent people by accident. And if you have to do rallies on public Highways and interstates, just slow down until you reach empty space. I know not all of you guys are irresponsible and idiotic, but I have seen too many of these morons, so just remember that your fun should not be at the cost of other peoples safety. Hope you can understand my viewpoint coming from the other side.
8 жыл бұрын
Dusty Ytsud .. quota is only really for local suburban cops. Not city or state cops. And you are mostly correct. Most highway patrol are looking for people speeding during heavier traffic. 10-15mph over the speed limit will rarely get you a ticket unless you look suspicious and the cop is looking for a reason to pull you over (sports cars, tint, loud exhaust, a lot of people in the car, ect..).. otherwise, you are fine 99% of the time.

Howdy Mike, I just got pulled over by a state trooper for the first time today on an interstate with a speed limit of 70. I got wrote for 90 in a 70 and it was basically just my lead foot downhill that led to me speeding and getting pulled. Any suggestions on how to get my ticket cheaper or to have it not affect my license as much? I am a very safe driver and the road was ultra straight and open just a bummer that they had a speed trap set up haha. Thanks in advance!!

it takes a speeder to catch a speeder, don't let the cops fool you, they get off on speed more than the people they chase. Most of the time they do dangerous accelerations and maneuvers to stop or catch up to someone for nothing. Knowing how to drive can save your life/get you out of a bad situation, having good reaction time and precise driving skill behind the wheel is never a bad thing, despite what the lying cops tell you. lol
@jrag10006 жыл бұрын
Jared Connell hah, laws are generalized, for every elite driver there are 50 shit ones, knowing how to drive can and will save your life on the road. Or you can drive around like a timid sheep and not know how to handle a car at speed or recover from say hydroplaning or oversteering.

If you get pulled over in a state that isnt your origin. You can only get ticketed with no points lost because you are not from that state. UNLESS you "DO NOT" stop! & make a run for it. It's considered an automatic felon. (And may be dropped to a misdemeanor, if you could make it last long enough to fight for it) fyi...

gone2secondzin123 wait, I'm from NY and got a ticket in FL and got points, does that mean I shouldn't have gotten points?
@steventrosvik39959 жыл бұрын
+PHJag No, states that have reciprocity share those points. Some states do not use points, and some have points taken, while others add points for violations. Reciprocity can vary and does change often. FYI You CAN be revoked or suspended from a state you are not from, and still retain your license from the state you received that license from, for instance, lets say in Florida you racked up points (or lost too many) and they revoked you, you may be able to drive in NY still, but you would be illegally driving if you drove in Florida.

I can only speak for california. Highway Patrol officers love the chase. They are taught in Academy and then encouraged to keep their skills sharp by driving as fast as possible during patrol. The reason they get mad at you is because they've had to handle some really grizzly and tragic fatal collisions. The fun goes out of it when you have to pry a body of a child out of Mom's arms so the coroner can take the body. Thanks for being polite to law enforcement. They have enough tough stuff and welcome your cooperation.

@qwontin78699 жыл бұрын
Yep, and he is driving the lambo named after him.
@billahbob9 жыл бұрын
+enigmaPL Yes. But he is retired from being a test driver. I believe he is a ambassador for Lambo now.

I wonder if people actually call in the cops or it's an excuse to pull them over.
@blindassassin11110 жыл бұрын
probably both, sometimes people call and sometimes the cops say it to call the bluff of who ever they pulled over.

Im always amazed when I see the cars, and even better the year they are driving it in! That Aventador Roadster must have been brand new back then!

So many sensitive people on the roads, calling dispatch because we're not all driving 5mph under the limit like they are. Yeeeaah the stunts at the end of this video can be extreme in small towns but out on the open road, multiple lanes, get the fuck over to the right and let us pass. It's annoying as all hell when stuck behind someone who's lost, confused, or scared to go past 50 (the person we know who turns down the radio and tells passengers to keep quiet). That's when I'd like to gtfo asap. On a positive note, those police were unusually nice. Need more like that where I live. Local PD in Indiana often sound bored while simultaneously pushing the firm I-am-in-charge tone.

That's pretty cool, the last video where you turned around at the light is my home town. It was really cool to see something I recognize.

Hey now Nebraska isn't boring :( you were just on the boring side of the state, come east towards Omaha and its where all the street racing is, mainly because 1320video is based out of Omaha.

the cops have no clue how much of a legend balboni is. and i had to laugh at valentino's lack of understanding of rob's "milkshake brings all the girls to the yard" reference. haha. (not that i expect he would)
