You know if Europe is half as good as KZbin comments would have me believe I may be moving soon.
@ea91679 жыл бұрын
+Dastin Not in the UK, you get three points on your licence every time you speed (or six points if it's by quite a bit) and when you get twelve points, you're banned for a year and then you have to retake your test. If you're caught over 100 MPH it's an instant ban. Then there's the fact speed cameras are rife and mobile speed cameras are rife too and there is normally no warning apart from a minute sign which is never enforced.
@NeautralGround9 жыл бұрын
+EA - Enormous Assholes Well, maybe "Europe" was far too general.
@ea91679 жыл бұрын
Dastin Probably was, in Switzerland speeding is a prison-able offence, in Finland you can loose your licence for speeding slightly and a fine is based on how much you earn, so the more you earn the more you pay (so these superseders would be bankrupt) and in some European countries, speeding isn't too bad, but not UK, Switzerland or Finland. BTW Switzerland is anti car, you can't even up the BHP of your car because you can't by law.

No citation can be issued on civilian testimony alone. An officer must witness the offense in person. In the event you’re given a citation over “gear say” take it to court and win every time. Also we don’t use the term “clock” in law enforcement. If a LEO ever uses it, he either doesn’t know what he’s talking about or doesn’t care to pay attention in training. Just a friendly little piece of advise. I’ve been in law enforcement almost a decade. Cheers!

Honestly I'm mostly on your side on these, speed and traffic laws can get pretty ridiculous, but 170 on a highway is a bit much.

OMG I think that's the first time I have seen a cop ask for drivers licence, and they all but one (who didn't have one) gave them up without botching and carrying on.

Well I didn't watch the whole video but that officer is a damn good cop. Not aggressive, no intimidation but laid down the law politely. Need more like him. Absolutely love when he said the driver of the black porche is definitely getting a ticket.

If this would happen to you in Germany, your driver's license would be gone for a long time. Except there are usually no Speed limits on the german highways :D
