What a wonderful interview. Michael Holding was one of my very few heroes growing up. I was lucky enough to see him bowl in 1976 at the Oval, and it was really something. There was a sense of occasion about it. It wasn't a simple matter of supporting England, it was also about appreciating excellence. Easily the best fast bowler of them all. I'm glad this interview did him justice.

Was blessed enough to grow up watching all those named on this thread. Even as an India fan I used to have a picture on my wall of Malcolm Marshall running in to bowl at Ravi Shastri at Bombay in `83. Ha Ha! Michael's mother was my Headmistress at elementary school. The best teacher I ever had. I did not like teachers and when I ran into Mrs.Holding years later, she laughed so hard because a classmate had told her I got married to a teacher. Guess one could say Karma bit me in the butt. LMAO!
