Hullo Irit, color permanency is the main concern for all fine art artists! I took a class in acrylic painting at the local Jr. college and the instructor had us mixing up our paints before starting our painting. We used the small baby food jars and we could mix the colors to any shade and thickness! I was also taught that you must varnish your final artwork with UV protective varnish! Taking photos for prints or reproduction can be important too. Selling originals is a real concern for fine art artists, Opra Rose is the most famous fugitive pigment and you can get it to last if you protect your painting! Thank you for sharing your process and encouraging others to branch out and use colors that bring joy to their paintings!

Thank you for sharing your colors! I am going through a love affair with soft, opaque yellows in watercolor. Naples Yellow and Nickel Titanate are perfect for painting fruits and vegetables.

Love your stuff but would have liked to see colours swatched. It's hard to tell just looking at the tubes .

Hello Irit, Lukas has a pastel yellow acrylic, it’s pretty matte. It’s not as cool as the Pastel Enamel by Turner. You may be able to mix it. What a job to work with pigments, make paints & name them 😯💕

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I'm so glad to hear you're still loving DaVinci Opus! It's the only opera-type pink I've tried, but I don't feel I'm missing out on any others based on your opinion ❤ I finally bought a set of Neocolor 1s and have added some to my open stock of Neocolor 2s, and I must say I felt silly paying so much for the 1s but I truly enjoy them so much! They are so much more of a pleasure to use than Crayolas. I want to try dissolving them with solvent at some point, I believe acetone nail polish remover will work. Lately I've gotten super into soft pastels. Hahah if you thought you could spend a lot on watercolors and cotton paper, you have no idea until you get into pastels! You have to take out a mortgage just to afford the paper, LOL. (I've actually been making my own with cheap watercolor paper and clear gesso and that works really well.) A friend just bought some secondhand pigments that someone was too lazy to use, so I'm going to try making my own pastels soon. Although for my favorite colors I'm not sure that'll be any cheaper 😆 Oh and I have 4 sets of pastel drawers now, I keep brushes, paint tubes, pastels, watercolor pencils etc in them and I do really love them (especially the fact that you can see/find what you want at a glance!)

Sounds like you're enjoying your art journey and that's all that matters! I love soft pastels! The colors! They look like works of art themselves and yes, the fancy ones are soooo expensive! Thanks for sharing and yes, Opus is my ride or die pink now , alongside my beloved bright rose. With the two of them I really feel I don't need any other pinks and honestly, all other pinks pale in comparison, so thank you thank you!
