Superteam made the first wheel that I got direct from a Chinese manufacturer about 10 years ago, and the quality solde on the whole concept. It's still going strong, and was the best balanced wheel I've ever had, which is not easy for a 5 spoke monocoque wheel.

They should make a 65mm version!

@PatrickLino if they want to compete with yoeleo, they'll have to do at least 90mm 😎

Nice and quiet. Loud hubs are annoying.

My go to man on wheels 👍 yep DT Swiss hubs definitely quieter, especially from new. Personally I prefer it, even though it can have its side effect advantages (pedestrians). It just reminds me of boy racers with loud exhausts!😉

I get that theyre trying to differentiate themselves but the rim profile comes across as tacky to me. And this is coming from a guy who rode a bike with a massive "fred-works" logo on it in UCI races

I would love to see actual wheels with "fred-works" decals haha

Over priced for 350 hubs. And DT Swiss hub sound, changes over time. You need to apply their special grease.

350 hubs and carbon spokes??
@DanTuber23 сағат бұрын
@@PatrickLino No idea how much extra carbon spokes adds. For vast amount of riders i doubt if they're needed or any better than sapim cx-ray. My farsports have 240's, are lighter and cheaper..
@ArteUltra1195Күн бұрын
I see what they‘re trying to do, but compared to other wheelsets like the Farsports, crw, Yoeleo or 8lien they just won‘t cut it in my opinion. A western hub is just not that important on a chinese Wheelset, spokes and rim stability are higher up the list, especially as the chinese hubs basically copy the dt swiss hubs at similar quality. You should really check out the 8lien L6W btw, they look absolutely nuts: weight, price, depth and rim shape seem spot on
@jrasero23Күн бұрын
I agree plus I would love to hear from Patrick who works with someone like Winspace or from them directly how these higher prices have effected sales. IMO the best wheel in this entry level high end category still is the Elite Wheels Drive series in that with 15% code you basically can get them for $1000 shipped while being 1300g more or less depending on the depth, carbon spokes, hybrid ceramic bearings, and while 21mm internal isn't cutting edge anymore I think wheel internals have gone off the rails with some of these companies. The Drives also come with preinstalled tape and valves thus setting them up tubeless is a breeze.

Serviceability is the one thing that DT Swiss hubs will have over any weird brand competitor. Every bike shop in the world will be able to get spares. Of course if that doesn’t mean anything to you, it’s no big deal then.

@ Superteam has been reaching out their ‘sponsored riders’ telling them they did an inadequate job at reviewing the wheels. Because of that, I’ve seen at least two contents on Superteam wheels within the last 24 hours.
@PatrickLino23 сағат бұрын
@@ariffau SuperTeam sent these out to me back in mid-October. You can see in the video haha. Typically I don’t wait two months to produce a video. The timing is pure coincidence. Also, I didn’t know SuperTeam sponsored (meaning paid) athletes for content. I have no right or wrong opinions about it.

I am not an expert but this design makes no sense in terms of aerodynamics.
