Hey Dan, I really enjoy your videos! Growing up my Dad was a trucker. Missed my calling by not doing it myself. So I don't know when you were at the I-80 but I was there on the 19th. My wife and I have been traveling the last month. And I told her I wanted to stop at the I-80 truck stop to see it. Would have loved to have met you! We are from Ohio and I know you have been thru our area as you have stopped at North Baltimore at the truck stops.

KZbin Lumnah Acres just purchased a like new 14'x48' HD Vinyl TARP....CHEAP!!! One side is black and the other side is a BillBoard AD. I guess billboards now are on vinyl tarps....which are easier to put up. His tarp said STATE FAIR dates.... so it was obsolete. Has a pocket for a rod for hanging. Guess a few hours putting in Tarp Strap holes rings would make it a nice $ saving for a trucker.

Hello Dan (and Bailey)... Been meaning to ask (spose I could've asked Google)...What's the max. speed for trucks? and is the spread axle a preferred configeration on most trailers?
@matj32962 жыл бұрын
No max speed on trucks... Most large carriers have governors on their company trucks... Split tandems on a flatbed 48' or 53' is preferred... A 53' stepdeck flatbed doesn't have split tandems Edit: saw your name... I'm a foamer too lol
@starkcd2 жыл бұрын
Speed limit is whatever the state sets it to. Spread axles allow more weight on those axles. As long as you have a 10 foot gap? You can have 40,000 pounds. (‘Regular’ trailers can only have 34,000). You still are limited to 80,000 total.

@@starkcd I don't keep up with the max. weights over here( New Zealand) but I think it's 50 tonne for the heavy, bigger trucks. A lot of B trains plus quad trailers( semi's & 4 axle) . Blanket speed throughout NZ is 90 km/h.. cars 100 km/h. Thanks for your reply :-)
