I want to become a professor for which phd is compulsory and without it no university gives a permanent job. So i want to ask that should i do my phd from big renowned universities like DU and JNU (getting admission over there is next to impossible) or should i do my phd from a good university in my city where i know the guide. I have heard that we should work under a known guide as he lets us complete our phd in lesser time. But one plus point of DU JNU is that if we enroll in it's phd program then we can easily get a job as a guest lecturer over there and i really want to earn

After investing 4 years of my life, I can say it is a trap...most of the time , you go through the situations you mentioned over here. One should pursue a Ph.D. if he or she really have that 'research ka keeda', rest all depends upon your luck be it getting into a good institute or getting a good supervisor or labmates or any other thing. Many things you come to know after getting admission under a particular supervisor, after that backbiting, buttering of supervisor, show off and what not, you might face any thing in those years of Ph.D. A good, understanding and supporting supervisor is a must, without these qualities of supervisor, you go any institute, it doesn't matter.
