"Just remember most of the people out here are trying to do their jobs." Just remember most of the people out here Are People! YES. They do not need to be dehumanized and disparaged. There is more than enough dehumanizing being done on every level, the most extreme of course being to the Ukrainian People. The footage of MY Solaris with the crew showing caution and concern for the people on the rubber dinghy speaks volumes. There are well documented incidents over the years where in similar situations the protesting people are ignored, injured, and even openly attacked. Think anti Vietnam war protests in USA, Greenpeace protesters, anti apartheid protesters in South Africa and almost any situation world wide where such disproportionate imbalances in power and wealth result in oppression and exploitation in the extreme. All these seized Oliarchs superyachts should be turned into hospital ships for wounded Ukrainian women and children.

They should be using these yachts to house the displaced Ukrainian refugees. There must be quite a few (yachts and refugees) that need housing and it seems a bit wastfull having them sat around with a skeleton crew doing nothing and I'm sure they will take good care of, and treat them with the utmost respect?

@@jonathanfarley2023 Yes, the oligarchs are thieves and pirates. It’s a nice thought that those owners might be greeted by armed soldiers when they come aboard. Perhaps something could happen to persuade them to give all their stolen money back to the Russian people?

As a long time follower of your channel, it makes me wonder just how many of these super yachts were owned by Russians, even if hidden behind companies. It seems that the yachting industry is going to be dealt a massive blow with the impact of Putins actions. I'm guessing its possible some of the major yacht builders will be put out of business due to cancelled orders etc? i'm not meaning to take away the dire situation for the innocent people of the Ukraine whose lifes have been turned upside down beyond belief!

No, it is the opposite. These yacht builders will be flooded with new orders to replace what has been taken by governments, paid for on backs of the Ukrainian people.

I sent you a photo of a vessel currently in Manzanillo, Mexico. It looks a lot like the class of boats on the run from arrest. Check your messages. I've asked my friends who sent the photo to let me know the vessel's name and flag. Hope this helps your great work. I am a great fan and life-long blue water sailor.
