Thanks for reviewing this razor Mark. I have the Pro and it is quite a thing. It's definitely one of my best razors. I held off buying the SE because Supply will be offering the fin plate as a standalone option that can be used to essentially turn one of their 2.0 razors into an SE. I already have a 2.0 so it seemed superfluous to buy the SE and, of course, I had already received the Pro as part of backing their recent Kickstarter campaign. I had the 2.0 as a new wet shaver. My technique was raw i’m sure. I filleted my face. I worked with their customer service, who was very good by the way, and continued to try. Just wasn’t for me and sent it back. They have a 100 day try it warranty I believe. I may try this razor. Everyone who has reviewed it has been impressed. Thanks for the review.

Joe, I really enjoyed this shave. The razor really does handle well. Some wet shavers might find the optional Grip Sleeve to help. I have the Razorock Black Hawk wihcih was sent by viewer Mike Rosenthal. I like it, but it is lighter weight, and the installation of blades is not as convenient as that of the Supply. Still, a good razor. But Supply is correct when they say the SE is built like a tank and drives like a Tesla.

Great review. My SE setting arrived yesterday (I live in Aotearoa) and I used it this morning - 100% agree with you. I really appreciate that for US$14 I could ‘upgrade’ my 2.0 to an SE. I love my 2.0 but I think I’m going to enjoy the SE even more.

I love my SE. Super smooth yet efficient with that sharp blade. I was going to buy their 2.0 model, when I saw they had a kickstarter for the two new models, the SE and Pro. I already had the Parker Adjustable Injector, so I went with the SE. I didn’t like my Parker with all the blades I tried (Shitck, Persona, etc.) but I got the Supply Black Label blades before my SE razor and tried them in the Parker. Those Supply blades are sharp and made my Parker useable!! I was considering selling it. I just ordered some Proline B20’s from Bullgoose (what you showed in the video) and will try them out with both my SE and Parker.

Great shave mark, I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my se pro that arrives tomorrow. I have the original 2.0 but with the 3D printed beta plate. Which is why I chose to just get the Pro version. Just as we discussed on messenger. Glad you reviewed the unit and gave an honest review. The supply 2.0 was my original daily driver. Even gifted one to my younger brother. He uses the mild plate(#1) but I use the close plate (#3) setting. Great shave! 👍👍👍👍

I own the Supply 2.0 and it is a sleek solid tool. For reasons I can't explain, I tend to nick myself but this doesn't happen with my vintage injectors. I reached out to Patrick and he confirmed that the new OC nick stop plate will be available in the future as an add on for the 2.0.

I am also awaiting delivery of Supply's SE Pro. With the original supply razor I had, I had to use the more aggressive plate and thought that maybe the SE you used here may not shave close enough. Giving the relatively low price, I may go ahead and order one after I try out the Pro. Usually am a DE shaver but I have enjoyed Supply's single-edged razor and am thinking the SE would make a great travel razor.

James, I just ordered an extra spring and a case. I'm thinking it'd be great for travel, too.:) In thinking aobut it, the number of shaves you get from one blade (8 to 10) means you could use the razor every day without having to reload a new blade. One razor, an installed blade, and a cartridge of blades is all you would need for a week to ten-day vacation.

James - have you tried your original Supply with their new Black Label blades? They are extremely sharp (but tamed with the SE’s fins). I originally used my Parker Adjustable Single Edge razor with their blades, and then tried others Schick, Persona, etc. and they were all too mild and I almost sold my razor. Then I signed up for Supply’s kickstarter for the SE (love mine!!) and they had the black label blades available. So I ordered and tried the Black Label blades with my Parker, and WOW, it actually gave a smooth shave. I just ordered the Schick Proline B20 based on someone’s recommendation who had a Supply Pro and used those blades. They are also made in Japan and supposedly very sharp as well. Felt like I was having to force the injector into the gap. Also have the Parker Adjustable SE and like it but it does seem less substantial and almost flimsy compared to the Supply razor. Haven't used the Black Label blades or any others. The Pro comes with the Black Label blades so am looking forward to using them. I have seen on FB and wet shaving forums that deliveries look to be delayed. Mine's been shipped over a week ago and the USPS continues to say In Transit. Others have had this problem but say it just all of a sudden pops up as Delivered or Out For Delivery. Can't complain - it's not like I don't have enough razors as it is LOL.

@@MarkSzorady Just wanted to say, I received the Supply Pro and used it for several days. Enjoyed it. For me, the higher adjustment levels were fairly aggressive for my sensitive skin so learned to stay below the 4 mark. I did have some problem switching out blades and let them know it on my review. They sent me an email saying they were busy but would get with me next week about it. Have also now the SE which I have used and may even prefer it to the Pro. I did learn from another KZbinr that using it with a high angle helps. If you see the rows from the little fins, your angle is too low.

Wayne, both razors are great! But, both are quite different. Different size, weight, feel, cutting angle. Heck, even the Henson is a different approach from most DE razors. It's hard for me to say one or the other will do a better job for you. I have a limited knowledge of your shaving requirements. HOWEVER, Here's the good news. BOTH have a wonderful guarantee! What did you think about that little knob/button on this Supply SE? I think that button is great to just remove the part to of the razor’s head to clean the inside, which is convenient, but I’m not crazy about how the turning of the button/knob feels. It’s not a smooth turn that comes to a stop, turning it doesn’t feel good quality. How long is that spring on it going to last? And it’s hard to tell when you should stop tightening it and know when you should stop tightening it. What were your thoughts about that? And can you use regular double edge razors to pop in half and insert in this Supply Co. SE Razor? Thanks:)

I think you may be confusing the Supply SE and the Supply Pro. The Pro is an adjustable ad has a wheel that clicks through the levels of aggression. The SE has a knob that allows the base plate to be removed. The SE's base plate knob tightens up just fine and remains secure. It's only purpose is to allow for cleaning the interior of the razor once in a while.

You don't have much hair after two days. You went from almost smooth to smooth. I have more hair in half a day after shaving. It's a nice review but I need to see a video review from someone with my beard type.

Hi, Rickyyo. I just got the Pro and have has a couple of shaves with it. A review will be coming soon. Given tht the Pro is adjustable, just dial down to a milder (or mildest) setting and jump into the shave. I started at level 3 and the shave was close and smooth. on setting 2, I was able to go against the grain with not problems. For my second shave, I turned it up to 3.5 and things were again fine. the shave was aibt closer. I'll be doing a head shave with the pro and will start milder. My point is, you'll find the proper level for your shave, skin, and beard type. Just start milder and build from there.

I have this razor and I can't get it to work for me. I get a bunch of cuts on my face everytime I use it. I put the head of the razor flat against my face and use no pressure and my face and neck still gets cuts. I have tried everything, I put in a fresh blade, I have tried different angles and still it doesn't work for me. What am I doing wrong?

Tim, Supply has a very good help page at: supply.co/blogs/journal/my-razor-isnt-shaving-help It discusses all fixes for what might be happening. You can also contact them via their contact page at: supply.co/pages/contact-usEDIT - This is just a guess, but my hunch is the blade may be scaping as * it's being loaded. That's why I thik this first section on the page is one that might solve your problem .----------------- Inserting a Blade Loading your blades incorrectly is the top for reason for damaged and/or dull blades. It's not rocket science, but you do have to pay attention to a few things to ensure you're not dragging the cutting edge of the blade* against the blade stops - this will almost always compromise the blade. Check your blade pack to make sure all blade packs are aligned and even in the pack. If the blade looks crooked in the pack, it will more than likely insert crooked - damaging the blade. When you inject your blade pack's key into the head of the razor, make sure there is a clear, straight pathway for the new blade to slide straight in, pushing the old blade out. While inserting the blade, go slow to make sure that the cutting edge is not dragging against the stops. If it does, you're definitely going to want to get that blade swapped out. -

@@timsolleveld3039 Tim, I received my SE razor from a viewer and there was no blade in it. I just went ahead and loaded as you see on camera. From information that I have read, it's probably best that you install a new blade when there is an older blade in the razor. However, I'd definitely ask Supply. In the meantime, when I get a chance, I'll try and find that info to verify. BTW, I hope this information has been helpful in some way. I'm new to the razor too. So, I'm learning, as well. :)
