I’m a patient at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City UT. I’ve found an extremely helpful women’s support group provided by Huntsman led by very helpful social workers. It’s a zoom meeting that works great for me since I live three hours away. I really encourage all cancer patients, in treatment and out of treatment, to attend a support group.

Thank you for sharing this! For others reading this, we highly encourage looking into local or virtual support groups led by oncology social workers or other trained professionals. Connecting with others who understand your journey can make a world of difference. 💕

It’s understandably frustrating when the tumor size doesn’t decrease as expected. It can take a while for tumors to respond to chemotherapy. Recall that the volume of a sphere is the radius cubed. Even a a tiny change in the radius (perhaps too small to feel or see) actually corresponds to a more impressive decrease in volume. It also takes a while for your body to get rid of the dead cells. We generally don't expect to see a decrease until after 3 or even 4 cycles of treatment.
