@jessicaarmstrong50357 ай бұрын
I remember him from before. Boiled my blood to hear him say that because he's not his biokid that's not his son. He made an actual choice to be that child's father. And he wants to blame it all on the mom for "convincing" him to do it. He's a grown-ass man. He makes his own choices and he could've said no to her. If he didn't that's on him. He needed to learn to be more assertive. Furthermore, he put pen to paper. It is not in any way, shape, or form easy to adopt a child. You need to get the other father to relinquish all of their rights, prove that the biodad is a detriment to the child, and apply to adoption agency to do this. It takes literal months to years to make it happen. If he didn't stop himself all through those proceedings he made a mistake in doing so. Furthermore, it makes not one whit of difference to the kid. All his son knows is that he's his daddy and he probably loves the bastard. Him doing this to him is going to cause psychological damage for his son. And what did the son do to deserve that? Nothing. I hate it when adoptive parents don't take responsibility for their kids. Family don't end in blood.
@joytoyouandme45934 жыл бұрын
Her having a good income won’t reduce his child support. Why not just tell him to bring in proof supporting his lower income, like his most recent tax return.
@jessicaarmstrong50357 ай бұрын
Technically she's not supposed to give him legal advice at all. It's up to him to figure out what kind of evidence he needs. The judge only makes a judgment. She gave him plenty of hints, far more than what most judges would. If he can't figure it out that's his problem. To be honest he was being entirely insulting. Claiming that a child shouldn't be supported because they're not their biokid. He made a choice to support that child and he doesn't get to go back on that now that it isn't working out for him. By doing so he's disadvantaging the child who did nothing wrong. I remember this guy. Sat there and said he shouldn't have to pay for him because he's a red-head. I can only assume he means that because he's blonde and the kid is red-head that means he's not "his child" and thus shouldn't have to pay for him. That's not how this works. The only way a parent gets off child support is either they have a reduction in income (and it can't be intentional), the child is not living with the mom, or they turn 18. That's it. His only option would be the reduction in income and I doubt he has proof of that. It takes awhile for a reduction in income from crop failure to show. He should definitely bring his most recent tax return when it shows a reduction in income but it's probably going to take awhile for that to happen because it has to be significant. Also his excuse of crop failure due to too much rain is actually confusing. Plants grow with rain. The only time that's a problem is if they flood and I mean A LOT of flooding. Plants absorb water from the ground and they can store water for a very long time without dying. Most crop failure is due to drought. The science ain't sciencing on this. He's coming up with many excuses and no numbers for her to work with. Say he wants a reduction. In order to do a reduction Judge Vonda needs a number to calculate the new amount. He doesn't have that and thus he lost this case. And the mom's money has nothing to do with it.

I remember this guy. This is the guy who decided that the son that he adopted wasn't his son and therefore he shouldn't have to pay child support because he and the mom split. He decided that because his son is a red-head and he doesn't like red-heads that means he shouldn't have to pay. He legally adopted that child and doesn't take any responsibility for him. I mean, he actually made a real choice to be a father and now he doesn't want to be the father because of his relationship with his ex-wife. The fact is that none of that has anything to do with the child. The child still thinks of him as his father and by taking away child support from him he's disadvantaging his child. What the mom makes has nothing to do with how much child support he pays. What would be a reason for a decrease is if his income went down. The mom can make however much she wants because the point is that it will benefit the child and give him a better head start in life. For this man to say that he shouldn't have to pay is so wrong. You don't make a choice to adopt a child and then say that you don't want to anymore. It's bad enough when a bio parent does it. I could sort of see that a biodad doesn't have a whole lot of options since the choice is the mother's. Although I could argue to keep it in his pants then. But a person who makes an actual decision to support that child and sign legal papers to do it and now he doesn't want to because he's not getting the benefit of the mom anymore is entirely cruel and selfish. I hope he never gets off of child support. If this is the way he treats his adoptive child that he made an actual decision to support then I don't want to know how he would treat a biochild. It's sad that people think they can do this to a child. He needs to be taught a lesson.
