dude, I feel ya there. it's like whenever I'm playing BF4 I'm the only guy actively trying to support my teammates. Like, I typically run Assault/Medic with medkit and defib, and I kid you not, I am constantly throwing medkits all over the place-- because A: I can throw them father and B: you automatically restock your medkits faster than you would with a med bag. with defibs, I revive a lot. A lot of the time, it's like no one even bothers with helping their team play the objective, it's just getting kills and only kills that seem to matter to a large portion of the playerbase

​@@heyythatsprettygood8763 same. I used to play BF4 and played medic. Grab 3 smoke grenades and quick movement (perk) and I would be running reviving players. People don't know how much that help as your teammates get another chance to fight. Easily said you can have 5 soldier on point A ,but having one good medic will make it like if there were 10 soldiers. That's why it was much harder for enemies to push points since I would just be reviving them creating illusion that there are more people defending that point.

The only thing that I don't like is that if you have full stamina. Your binoculars won't sit still to mark a target for tange for a HAT. Then after you get the range (with full stamina) you can't get a steady shot unless prone. Giving armor way more than enough time to shoot 1 round over your head to make sure you can't shoot for a minute.

There are only 2 ways for OWI to continue pay the bills and not shutdown the whole thing : either have old customers being worth more money, or having more new customers. Squad playerbase really did not enjoy the idea of micro-payment with the emotes and potentially cosmetics, so the only solution left is to bring a lot more new customers. But Squad is not a plug&play FPS like COD or BF is. The learning curve is hard. So to make it more fun for the noobs, we make skill less important, and teamwork more important. Also, this reduces the chance of noobs being face-stomp by old squad hands with 3k hours in-game. Obviously for skill-based players this is bad news, all those hours spent being better at the game are now in a less efficient vehicle. You will still be better than noobs, but the multiplier of your experience is now seriously lower. You can still have a lot of gameimpact but now it will be through other ways, like "how fast can you teach your squad mates offense tactics?" and "can you communicate in a clear, concise way?" etc... Teamwork is now more important than skillz

@@Fabzil Depressing thing is that this new system is even worse for new players because it is far from natural to understand, and doesn't remotely feel good to play (shooting and getting shot at). A small movement means your aim is going to sway a lot for a few seconds. This patch is basically for the original project reality fans, who are themselves a niche audience within the actual squad player-base.

@@Slenderneer I agree with what you said, except for the fact that the new system is not made for noobs. If it feels clunky and unnatural (at first), it's gonna be a big problem for the noobs coming with BF expectation, but no so a problem with people coming in with PR expectations. I'll give you an example. I'm a "boomer". I played the original Operation Flashpoint back in the day. And then for like 15 years, I would routinely re-install the game like every 2 or 3 years and try to play the game again. And without a miss, every time I did that, I would get absolutely wrecked to dogshit by the enemy in the first 2 or 3 missions of the campaign. Because it doesn't matter I logged in so many hours in the game. The game was hella hard, and so 2 years off meant I was gonna go back to square 1 and eat shit for the first few hours. And I never mind. I knew it. So I was not put off because my expectation was meeting the reality. If people are like "hey they made the new Squad more noob friendly because now the game is slower and you need to think more and it's gonna be hard to shoot" then they gonna think they stand a chance against those 4k hours operators AND they also know they are going to eat shit for the first hours.
