Did anyone else notice that even the unsuppressed SAW footage is way more flashy in this vid than that of the RC2?
@spacepirate195511 ай бұрын
seems like this video is taking later in the day where there is less light from the sun, camera is picking up flash a lot easier.
@RooftopDefense11 ай бұрын
That's correct, the 249 portions tend to cause some decent flash, but this particular RC3 sequence is a little exaggerated just due to the time of day. However, the flash testing footage has been taken in equally dark times and universal across the board.
@Danyello_010 ай бұрын
Yes because it’s footage and the audio can’t handle the extreme decibels from unsuppressed saw. The suppressed saw is more realistic sound than the unsuppressed. Your watching a video basically

the KAC CRS-PRT spanked the RC3 in thermal dissipation and flash signature. However, the PRT is 2.2 oz heavier, and has a slightly more gas blowback based on the full auto 100 round tests {RC3 = 5.3% increase in RoF vs PRT = 8.5%}. The PRT is slightly shorter though... But with the price of both being equal at $1,800, I would hands down take the KAC over the Surefire.... What do you guys think? I am also curious how the sound suppression compares to one another... That's an important factor to consider. PRT rates the reduction to 24 Db / but I don't know that the RC3 Db rating is.

Also, I don’t know anyone else that can answer this question, is the increase rate of fire once shooting suppressed a pro or a con?
@ZachAttack2U8 ай бұрын
@@sagar42095 The increased fire rate stems from the increase in back pressure of a suppressor. The higher the back pressure, the faster the fire rate. For almost all applications a low back pressure can is better. It forces the toxic gases and lead particles out the front of the muzzle and not back in your face. Poorly gassed ARs can burn your eyes and can be harmful to your health. Most modern suppressors offer some version of a "Flow Through Can" or a low back pressure can. There are pros and cons to each, but generally, a flow thru can is preferred... And the suppressor market is currently heading in that direction.
@45calibermedic8 ай бұрын
@sagar42095 It is technically a con, it means that the suppressor is causing back pressure in the system as gasses exit the barrel and it is making the action slam back faster (harder). This means faster wear on components and it means that you will get some gas vented toward you which can be unpleasant, especially shooting more than a few rounds indoors. The reality is that all suppressors generate some back pressure and you can tune a gun to not run too hard with a traditionally baffled suppressor like the Rc2 (choking down your gas port can also help some with blowback). The Rc3 and flow 556k are flow-through designs that trade a little noise suppression downrange for very little back pressure (you don't have to do tuning to optimize them because they don't make the gun run much faster than normal and gas vented back to your face isn't an issue with them). Again, every can has some back pressure, it's about if you want to have to deal with it or want to more or less avoid it. Tuning for reliability suppressed and unsuppressed with a traditionally baffled can will usually mean you will deal with the gun running at least somewhat harder suppressed and get some gas to the face. You can tune to be only reliable suppressed and thus cut cycling speed increase and gas to the face way down, but that is up to you. A flow through can basically eliminates the need for these dilemmas and may be the way of the future for autoloading fighting rifle suppressors, judging by their success in the market and with major manufacturers like Surefire. Bolt guns have more flexibility in this arena. Hope this helps.
@bendummer6427 ай бұрын
Fantastic video - thank you for sharing this! Why do you think some suppressors like the RC3 and Velos glowed so much after the 100 rounds, whereas the baffle cans were much less red? I would have expected the baffle cans to glow more since they're trapping gasses without a convenient egress point.

The rc3 has trouble with different muzzle devices, so i recommend attaching a surefire warcomp flashhider and test it again which will make a big difference in muzzle flash.

These comparisons are great. It's a shame the RC3 shoot fireballs with closed-tine muzzle devices. A lot of people have to pin/weld brakes for stupid state laws.
@mikelreyna8789 ай бұрын
Free men dont ask permission. Ridiculous amount of ways to not have to pin and weld. However, this reduced blowback stuff is a joke. The only time gas is a potential problem is when you are static, especially in closed doors. This happens a lot when you are with an entire squad. Do you think you will be static when facing 20 adversaries? If so, you're wrong. Why would you even engage 20 adversaries solo? Without the prospect of a military backed resupply or reinforcement? All this military shit does not correlate with private citizens protecting themselves. RC2 & RC2 mini (556 dedicated) are pretty much the gold standard. KAC is legit. However, people with money buy them and hord them. Making the price just absolutely ridiculous. RC2 & RC2 mini are veted. Have been for a long time. No reason under the sun, suggests otherwise. My brother has the RC2 mini and I have the RC2. they both fuck. They will do what you need them to do. Flow through is gay. 🇺🇸
