I went from Windows 11 to Debian Linux with Plasma KDE last year. And haven't looked back. I'm so glad I got off the clunky, buggy, insecure, irritating Windows platform and onto something slicker, more reliable, less annoying.

I forgot that unit existed until I saw this comment. I could have swore they did some change to them a while back to make them useful, but I still never see them.

I've been itching to see a team do a coordinated Jester snipe i.e. whole team is Cybran and all do a Jester rush opening, find the highest rated commander and take him out (and some light harass till they find him). I'm not even sure if the Jester is up to it, which is why I want to see a team give it a try. Would need to be a team of at least 4, preferably more.

It's actually quite impressive to hold an advantage and actually keep it, especially at high levels of play for a long game. I've seen a lot of reversals, especially when a normally good player is dumped with too many theatres and forced to multitask like crazy.

Any reason why you dont see much unit production from fatboys? Overall not worth the cost? And i guess because they need to be not moving as well?

It turns off the artillery on it. It's a fast builder but compared to a T3 with a tonne of engies behind the lines, it's not offering all that much in terms of build potential.

on the topic of Ghetto Gunships what is the durability and dps of one compared to a T1 or T2 gunship? assuming T1 carrier

They can put out a bit more than twice the DPS of a T2 gunship, but they're quite a bit more fragile. AA can destroy the light bots that are riding, especially flak. Their biggest benefit is the surprise of being able to pull one out any time in the first 10 minutes and get a lot of work done. You can also drop the bots and let them fight on the ground if your transport takes too much fire. The biggest drawback is how much APM it takes to set one up, and how you need to set 2 factories to do it. Plus it costs even more than a T2 gunship in the T1 stage of the game so it's quite a bit of investment. If you need to destroy something early on, 3 bombers might do the trick for the same cost.

Change that i would like to see for the mega: mega drops egg to build a unit and the egg becomes a temp factory. This would allow the mega to be a sudo moving factory like the czar, atlantis, fatboy.

I'm not sure I like that change to the Mercies. Supreme Commander is such a great and special game because there are so many unusual strategies. While it might feel mean or unfair to get blindsided by a snipe, it's what makes it possible to turn around a game that "by the numbers" (eco) is already lost and it's not like it's impossible to prevent such attacks.

Man Gyle, come on! There is a major attack going on with 3 GCs and you don't even look at it. Yes, the nuke was important but so was that fight and you just ignored it or didn't notice. ARGH!
