I DISAGREE with “you’re ALWAYS an alcoholic.” They what those MEETINGS tell you. But, not a MINDSET you should ADOPT.

Learn about the physiology of addiction. The bodies response once it becomes addicted to alcohol or drugs is not a simple mindset change. Your response speaks of incredible ignorance.

@@YarnCrafts4lefties I’m sorry but, a person who is, let’s say, 20 years REMOVED from the the ADDICTION of WHATEVER they WERE addicted to is STILL addicted to it PHYSIOLOGY wise? Is THAT what you are telling me? PLEASE. I DISAGREE with the ONCE an alcoholic, cheater or WHATEVER, that that person is FOREVER that. 🤔🤔 I DISAGREE WHOLE HEARTEDLY. If I’m 10 or even TWENTY years REMOVED from what it used to I was ADDICTED to, NO ONE is gonna TELL ME that I’m STILL THAT. That CULT like BRAIN washing. It IS a MINDSET. That why PLACEBO drugs WORK. This can ONLY be true if the PHYSIOLOGY of addiction is PERMANENT. Which it is NOT. So, once an alcoholic, ALWAYS an alcoholic is A MINDSET. Cult like BRAINWASHING. If I’m 20 years CLEAN NEVER to RETURN to whatever my addiction WAS, I’m not gonna CONTINUE to identify with that addiction. That’s me holding my past against MYSELF. This mindset is PART of the reason people RETURN to that addiction because they taught (BRAINWASHED) into BELIEVING that they are FOEVER that. If I have to IDENTIFY myself with PAST behaviors FOREVER, then I’ll be INCREDIBLY IGNORANT then. Because IF it’s PHYSIOLOGICAL then ADDICTION can NEVER be broken. And I DISAGREE. If you STAND for NOTHING, you’ll FALL for ANYTHING. I’m not FALLING for this one. I’m sorry.

You are always an alcoholic if your behavior doesn’t change. You can quit drinking and still act like a drunk
