I know that when there are new tax credit programs and benefits that come out, if I don’t qualify for them it’s a good sign because my income is high. I was lucky to have a career where I made more than the average annual income, but not a lot. I don’t mind paying more in taxes than my neighbour who has a lower income, because it’s all part of contributing to the greater good and benefit all of society. Now that I am disabled, and drawing on benefits including our public healthcare system, I am very thankful for everyone contributing.

The reason no one's heard of Tim Walz is that the national media has not covered the incredible Democratic successes in Minnesota. If you compare the standard of living, employment, among other measures of trying to help people with that of Republican states, you have the strongest argument for Democratic policies that can be made. in Minnesota Tim has been a great governor -- all the things he and Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan have done with a small majority are amazing. Feeding kids, paid family leave, better gun laws, climate and preserving abortion are only some of the accomplishments. And they got rid of our old state seal and flag which were, to be kind, not inclusive and replaced it with a simple, happy seal and flag. Minnesota is one of the best examples of why the Democrats should win that can be made.
