I love silence. I rarely take after my Vipassana meditation retreat. But my parents, colleagues and friends think that I am depressed and they force me to be active(talking). I pinch time to be with me and I use headphones to avoid conversations and small talk. I get up at 4.30am and mediate and spend time with myself. Every word in this video is absolutely true. its very difficult among the normal worldly people to practice silence.

True true true! All of my life I have been lonely, unaccepted, rejected and all the stuff many of us know. The last three years have been devastatingly lonely - totally and utterly, day and night, especially night when awake for most of it - in the darkness, but yes, there is no choice but to go within and now as Guru Maharaji says, the only person worth having, is the one left behind when everyone has gone (not that there IS anyone - but I now know that I AM the one and enjoy it.

I have been alone for almost 3 years now and have been living outside of my backpack hopping and jumping off to different places. I am very sensitive to the noise and crowd of the big cities so basically I have been living close to the nature where I can limit my human encounters. I felt alone at some point but after spending so much time getting to know myself, I have learned that "Loneliness is the path to awakening". Love and life bless us all my fellow Humans out there.

They say that when you are fully detached from all people, things, habits, addictions, then you can attain "moksha" / liberation which means you will never end up in a deathbed of old age and dependent on a caretaker to help you out and endure pain and suffering as a result of ageing, disability, diseases, etc. It's almost like we can make life energies exit the body before it's too late. I'm sure it's far better than euthanasia which itself is painful no matter what they say. Best of all, if you are supremely lucky to somehow attain moksha, then you literally have 100% control over your soul. This means you can wait your soul until a perfect world is evolved and then be reborn into a perfect body yet again to live a perfect life and go. There is this invisible thing that is at the center of our pineal gland. They call it as the seat of the soul. Perhaps it's the off switch as well. I'm currently researching ways and means to enter state of samadhi as life is too short to waste off in the enjoyment of pleasures as 99.99999% humans and all animals, birds, etc. There's just 1 life where we are born ultra-conscious. This is when we have to take the risk and jump off the cliff they say. I am not convinced enough yet, as I cannot see something that I can touch or feel on the other side. Perhaps more spiritual practice will enable me to gain the ESP. But, when I look at this universe from a simulation perspective, ancient spirituality, yoga and meditation seem to be like tools to evolve a species to higher dimensional and technologically / genetically advanced species.

Once you go deeper Into the path, devouting most of your thoughts to it, you will naturally never be able to relate to the mundane world! But again, you are In a family! God never says deprive your family! Do your duties with much affection. Serve people with compassion. Yet remain blissful within yourself through meditation. Loving all is the first step towards God. I have been lonely for 7 months or so after a parting ways with a partner. I’ve been wondering why I can seem to have any luck on finding a new one, women stop talking to me out of nowhere, dates fall through, they lose interest or I lose interest. This is the answer i’ve been hopelessly searching for. This loneliness is a sign that I need to search within to find and accept myself completely before I can find my partner. It’s the universe/god/guides (whatever you want to call it) poking me with a stick telling me to make good use of this time. Thank you.

This is a great video! I would like to seriously inquire about pursuing the type of life this video describes but I don’t know where to start. Here is a little information about me... 1) I have always been an introvert and love my solitude! 2) I’m 43 years old, never married and no kids. 3) I meditate several hours every day and attend a silent meditation retreat several times a year. I’ll be going for 30 days later this year! I’m ready to dive in and leave this worldly world and live the life of a renunciate but I don’t know how to go about doing that. The Sivananda ashram, (I have known about it for several years) has always been most appealing to me and I have tried to contact them (email) with no success. I am very serious about this, if you can help steer me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

2017 was the ending of my shallow existence full of emptiness partying and flying around aimlessly surrounded by surface people it became my existence and I was unhappy with my shallow lifestyle. A complete stranger ask me if I meditate and I said no because I couldn't sit still very long, she gave me the name of a store in town that she said I'd like and it was the beginning start of the change of my life the friends had disappeared due to them not accepting me for my life choices I no longer wanted to do what they were doing anymore so saying goodbye was easy for me. Being alone helped me see what's real and grow into the woman I am supposed to be. The human kindness that lady showed me by guiding me to a place she knew would help me find the real me was one of the best gift I've received and whenever I see someone who's lost I like to guide them onto a path of enlightenment too still learning and growing day by day🙏😺💛

Thanks for saying it, it's the most natural thing. This teaching is very difficult. I don't think that for the most part solitude is the best. And I say this from experience, because I have always been alone. I intuit that when you experience real romantic love and sex, your whole relative being is calmer. Then you are in the best situation to seek the divine.

Vida, Amor y Risa the path isn’t for everyone, I can see myself seeking solitude as much as possible or peace ✌️ and if that shows up in my world as being single or not going to parties then oh well. I’ve also realized that doing things that i like doing regardless of what people think is the way to go. Right now I am amidst this 2020 world lockdown and hiding in a room away from family and taking it as a time of repose.

The right name for loneliness is Solitude. The dis'course above very nicely explains the meaning of Pratyahaar. It emphasises the importance of Being Alone, cut off from wordly peole so well. If one is seriously intent on being an aspirant, then he/she should follow the suggestions given above. An aspirant must at all times be on guard and not be exposed to wrong company.

All throughout my life I just loved ppl.....and was always hurt....and left all alone at the end of the day.....some ppl love lonliness by nature....some can't stay alone....but what to do if God has planned something else for you? Something far better.....it is difficult to be all alone at the initial stage of your life....but with time and patience we learn and enjoy that which is actually destined for us. Passion comes from the soul, and it is good to follow your passion. I think the distinction should be not to focus only on your passions to the exclusion of things you must do. We don't want our passions, or emotions to rule us. These rules are coming from the standpoint of an ascetic, or a guru or monk. Not all of us are here to live in that way. Developing a regular meditation practice though is the best practice for those wanting to direct their minds and keep them on track. I would like to begin meditating more regularly, but I'm not sure that daily is what I'm looking to do just now.

Thank you for this share. I ponder for me then.., As I look deeply through my entire past till present. Never have I become saddened and have assignment to loneliness. Not to be confrontational and I support expansion of those that suffer all ways of being ness. I actually enjoy myself with myself. My solitude is sacred. Because I am alone I am not necessarily lonely. The grass the trees the birds decorate my life. I am never alone enough to be lonely. Now I have not put myself in a confining black space for a week. So I don’t know what would arise in me than. I can be with myself Say in front of a mirror completely un clothed and allow myself to be as I am. I can drop all false ideas of un truth about all tilt thoughts that poke at me. Once I recognize each off incorrect interpretation or fashioned of times pretense or wish. Just in the noticing they break up and disappear. I dare not pray something off undesirable to not come my way . Its all false and that path will surely bring it to me. I am ok the way I am and the way I am not right now. For in the recognition of where I want to expand to need not have to climb a manufactured mountain of effort and struggle for living proof of my worthiness. And agreement of others that choose that design , tarried and elevated themselves out of it. I surely would not convince those perhaps that consider themselves down some steps of this ladder that they indeed are with fellow surrounding agreement of large. Say if this was the last of ones days I am not the one to give measure of ones position in sprit. And I Bless-All-Ways🧘🏻♂️🌸🙏🏻 No one here but me can tell me nor knows first and best the full secret of my heart.

True... loneliness is blessings. But this loneliness does not mean 'away from society' .. it refers to loneliness in inside, whatever you work do, outer environment does not effect you and you do such work without disturbance. It requires practice ie called Sadhna.
