I've "waiting" 12 years for this since I first met your book - The Joy of Living. Blessings from South Africa our Teacher Mingyur Rinpoche( ( the first monk who taught me to me laugh during my mediation practice )

Thank you so much dear Rimpoche. The Abhidharma is so profound and so well elaborated that if its understanding was much more spread, in a way that more beings can grasp it, this world would be such a different and special place. Grateful for your dedication

The last air bender. Ever heard of Immersive Translate?? It's a tool that supports real-time subtitles and generate them for videos in foreign languages. With the subtitles, you fully understand the video content and naturally learn a foreign language while watching.

Desire is the problem. Nothing else. When their is nothing to desire then person is satisfied and peaceful. But person does not like peace because peace is boring then again desire comes 😂😂 One point mind can only help.

Your eminence 🙏🙏🙏, I am hating someone so much that it lingers my mind for longer duration. I don’t want to do it but since the person is a close one I end up hating and judging every time I see the person. How can I free myself of this state ?please suggest. Actually that person is my brother in law, he is rude and has a careless attitude towards my sister. She was depressed and sad . Nowadays she is better. She is trying to get a job and be in better condition financially.

What does it mean to just see::: if aombody is always insulting you we should not respond or let them do what they are doing with u...some time we cannot leave the persons... because of family constraints..what should we need to do?
@Mahaprajnaparamita2 ай бұрын
This is a difficult situation and one that I deal with too! But it is the sort of thing where if you succeed then you will have accomplished something wonderful. I have noticed that when we’re really stressed and unhappy (like you seemed to be when you wrote the comment) then it is extremely hard to see clearly. It isn’t even worth trying because you can easily just become more upset. The state of mind is not suitable for cultivating serenity and wisdom. None of this is personal. If it’s hard to cultivate while insults and negativity are still rattling around in your memory, it is fine! It isn’t your fault! You are like a little wave in the sea of life. You aren’t really different from Rinpoche, or Buddha, or a dog, a flea, or me. It isn’t your fault that it is difficult to see clearly in a disturbed state of mind, because all of this depends on requisite conditions. As long as you have an intention to awaken for your own sake and maybe for the sake of all sentient beings, then you are in the right direction. Whenever I feel worn away and stuck then I understand that I need to go into seclusion. This means for me, going and sitting down, undisturbed, secluded from distractions and ideally in a pleasant place, for at least thirty minutes but better is one hour, two hours, or longer. The longer the better generally! We can do meditation techniques like breath counting, or not. The essence, really, is just staying there. If you can sit there for a long time, then that is good!Sometimes we just need to recover and when that happens for me I don’t set the mind to any particular practice until it is settled and calm, and only direct the mind gently toward wholesome thoughts. We might use the metaphor of chewing food. No one eats their dinner in one great mouthful because they would choke. Instead we eat one bite at a time and then we chew. It is the same with meditation and the rest. Everyday life is like the food. It can be stressful and if we take on too much stress at once then we will not make any progress. We will be overwhelmed and “choke”. But if we eat one bite at a time of stress, going into seclusion, attending to calmness, its arising and cessation; attending to wisdom, its arising and cessation; then we can begin to cultivate effectively through mindfulness, wisdom and direct knowledge.

Thanks sir, gr8 word for inner piece. Heart and mind two different part. Need to use like as it is.. no matter what others are doing ..once practice started meditation among surrounding,then slowly external factors will not impact ..once again to give me part....stay connected. Searching your new series or daily group to reframe mindfulness..
