Hey guys hope you enjoyed Our prank video

Posting times:
We try our best to stick to the schedule of 2 videos per week. Friday, Saturday or Sunday at 7:30pm AEST (But disregard this during our stay in Korea)

About us:
We are Lee (24) and Carla (20). We met in Sydney a few years ago by chance and never separated since. We have a beautiful baby girl who is 12 months old and we make videos about being a... you guessed it! Young family. Our content includes daily vlogs showing our regular family life and sit down talking videos centred around being an international couple, Lee being Korean and Carla Australian. Thanks so much for visiting our channel and we hope to see you here again!

I think Lee's parents and grandparents were kinda shy to meet Carla for the first time. She is an Australian and they probably haven't had many chances to get to know her due to language barrier. I'm sure they love Carla and welcomes her so much~ it's just that they didn't know how to express in English so they were just being shy to say hi to her and hug her and etc. For the next month or so in Korea, they will get close to each other by spending much time together! So Carla, hope you don't feel hurt by their mundane reaction~!

Sage is lucky to have her great-grandparents and grandparents!! This made me think of my dad when he first met my mom's Korean family in the 1960's. They were very reserved/traditional, and kind of shocked having an American in their home. Just be yourself Carla, I'm happy you get to meet, and spend time with Lee's family.

The mum on the other hand, wow i think mum's are mum's no matter where you go lol. She was pulling my pants up and trying to feed me as soon as i walked through the door haha.

Jeez, this comment hit home hard. My Granddad died before I was born. My Grandma when I was just a child, too young to remember. My grandparents on my other side lived in another country, and the last time I saw them was when I was 7. They have also both been dead for over 10 years. I lost my mother at 27 (only 2 years after her own mother), and just lost my father, so I'm an orphan at 34. :( My mother didn't even get to come to my wedding. :(

It's just so interesting to me how every culture is different in the way of reacting to things. The last time I made a surprise visit to my mom, after one year away, she jumped up-and-down and screamed so loud that she could be heard down the street. I think Lee's family was just as excited, but show it differently.

My grandparents reacted the same way Lee's family did. My dad is from Korea and his parents (my grandma and grandpa) were really happy to see me but they were shy. Unlike my grandparents from my mom side. They were very happy jumping up and down calling everyone in the family to come over. My mom is from Mexico but she's mix. My grandma is Australian and my grandpa is Mexican. So I like to think I'm mix with Korean, Australian, and Mexican and of course American😂😂 I hope all that made sense😅

Unlike in the West, Cheek kissing or hugging is not that common in South Korea. We don't think this is culturally good. But females often hug each other. However, this doesn't mean Lee's family doesn't welcome Carla. Just In This country, physical contact is not so well accepted. And Lee's parents seem pretty embarrassed. Lee's family is so calm just like him. And your mum in law looks young. She could pass off as Lee's elder sister. I'm sure your inlaws like you already, Carla. You have a good personality & a wonderful wife to Lee. For us Asians, the secret to get along with the in laws is to be humble. And then when they see how much you & Lee love each other plus how well you take care of Lee & Sage...you'll win their hearts.

Not to be rude to lee’s family or anything but why did all of them just ignore Carla like that when the dad and grandparents came through the door? She stood there awkwardly least they could do was hug or wave if they couldn’t speak English ... really felt bad for Carla standing there like that. Have they not heard that she was an internet sensation!? (Quote from Carla’s mom)Lol

They were all lovely to me, by day two I was wearing his dad's coat, his mum's shirt and his grandma's pants and every single day since weve been here they have brought my favourite foods and done so much for me! They didnt hug Lee either, they're just not like that. But you will see in future videos 😁

Some people aren't expressive or can't show emotion they might be shocked to see them suddenly. Few months ago my bestfriend came from Sydney to surprise me i was like awkward and emotionless she even cried😂😂😂 when i think of now i find it funny and amusing. Lee's family are just humble and down to earth as i can see💓

It's just a korean thing... we show our emotion by just looking, handshakes and patting... usually hugs if your parents are a huggy person... but it's always nice for other cultures to show how they great with hugs and handshakes.. then next time we know... my parents are the same.. but now they have korean/british grandchildren they love hugging and expressing their emotions in words and actions.. but saying that.. they've been living in the UK for the last 23 years.. 🤔

I love how you bowed to your grandpa. As a Vietnamese person I’ve always been fascinated with Korean culture because you guys have kept the traditional East Asian culture so well, like bowing to your parents and kneeling down before them. It’s so traditional Confucian and beautiful. Nowadays Vietnamese culture is being increasingly westernised and we have lost this tradition of bowing to parents or even kneeling down and paying respect to them. I think the Chinese and Taiwanese also no longer do this, only Koreans (and some Japanese) do

@@destinyjohnson4850 Makes you wonder if perhaps they didn't approve of the relationship bec Korea is quite conservative, especially since a wedding and having a child are huge matters in Asian culture. To be introduced by surprising them with a month-long stay (at their home when they're unprepared) is not a good start honestly, hope it all works out...

MsSomeone1991 I don’t think you got the point: how can you not have your girlfriend meet your family before marrying her? It has nothing to do with the actual wedding ceremony.
@gracehan8446

Xscel still could’ve been due to financial issues! A trip to Korea from Australia would easily set you back at least $5k. They probably met over video chat as well. Doesn’t seem the case here, but some people get married without meeting the family because of disapproval. A marriage is between two adults, and meeting all the family is beneficial but not necessary!

@@gracehan8446 Obviously people do get married without letting the parents know but for an asian family, this is almost unbelievable. I mean, would not it be the first step to let your girlfriend meet your family? It would have been less awkward... but not my choice. Just an opinion!
