+Suren Hey Suren I think you have understood something wronge. I played this game last year in Germany (Baveria) in the last round of this tournament. This was a game with long time control (2 hours for 40 moves and 30 min for the rest of the game). I have played this game on lichess because you can copy that game easy. I really like your videos and I am no cheater :) I will be the happiest person in the world if you upload my game :) Thank you Suren

I watched this game live and it was insane. These 2 players were leading the tournament with a few rounds to go and under all that pressure this guy has the balls to play the grob against magnus!

Jonathon Sky Eaton and force a draw!
@xXOniJahXx
@xXOniJahXx 7 жыл бұрын
Jonathon Sky Eaton he often humiliates gm with some cool strats on his streams. and the grob is like a gimmick of him. here we see he can even draw magnus with his fun strategies, just imagine what he could do if he wanted to play seriously and play chess h24 like strong gm do... he could be a real beast aknowledged by everyone. anyway here in france we know that he is no joke even with suboptimal strat. now the world knows it too.

That's why Kevin was close to winning. Else Magnus would have no surprises as he had mastered all usual openings.

It should be noted that with 3. g5 white is playing the "Spike Variation" of the Grob Attack. Also, this opening begins as the "Grob Gambit" but with 2...c6 black wisely declines the gambit.

Grob opening is amazing if you’re ready to think out of the box: develop the flanks, keep king in the center, use pair of knights instead of bishops, develop the queen early.

At 6:11 after black plays Qb4 white can win with Rf8+ Kxf8 Qd6+ (if Kg8 then Qd8+ Ne8 Qxe8#) (If Ke8 then Qd7+ Kf8 Qf7#)
@johnwalsh877
@johnwalsh877 7 жыл бұрын
Caeo Tan after Qd6+ that you suggested, black plays Ne7 and then if Qd8+ there is Ne8 and then there are no more checks for white so black gets the tempo he needs to get the perpetual, if instead of Qd8+ you play Qf4+, then Kg8, Qf7+, Kh8, Qf8+, Ng8 and once again black has the tempo needed to get the perpetual (alternatively after Qf4+, Ke8, Qf7+, Kd8, Qf8+, Ne8 with the same ending of having no more checks so black gets the perpetual)

Suren, You moved the pieces too fast in many occasions, and the trace of previous moves is not provided in your animation. I feel that your video is not easy to follow; not due to the game complication but rather due to your way of presentation. As if the pieces on the board changed all of a sudden very often.

I don't see how it's disrespectful . Blitzstream almost beat Magnus with the grob in a serious online tournament, Magnus managed to perpetual in the end. Basman used to play the Borg and Grob a lot against serious GMs.
