This is fundamental in learning to nose ride - the faded takeoff is used by skilled longboarders to stall and allow the set up to cross step. Love the video Ru

I've been wondering for the longest time about this! I've wanted to pick the brain of the coaches during the seminars about this same topic. Fantastic work Ru. 😁🤙🏄♂️🌊🔥

Great video again, now I am looking forward to a late/no paddle take off tutorial! Keep up the excellent work . I hope you will grow and open up a place in Europe - Hossegor would be perfect because Costa Rica is far off....

Funnily enough that is actually a track Ru made as a teenager in his bedroom by pulling samples from old Aretha Franklin records.

I already suspected something like that😇 Sounds good, hopefully he still plays around with music besides playing with the ocean😄👍🏻

Great work on the videos. I have noticed on videos of my surfing that my weight is toward the back of my board, causing me to push water. I ride a shortboard, which makes weight distribution even more critical. I find it difficult to move to the move my feet to the sweet spots for speed generation and turns. Any suggestions on finding those sweet spots and easily sliding between them?
@SurfSimply4 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, if the issue is somewhat critical to your success on the wave, then id suggest a bigger board where you will have more stability and surplus speed to practice either popping up with your weight positioned better. Whitewater drills are particularly useful for this as you can smash out 20 in a row and only have lost 30 minutes of out the back time. Sometimes people consider the whitewater to be a step back, but it is an excellent coaching tool to accelerate certain parts of the learning process.

Great drill 👍 I wish more people watched your tips and not the nonsense about “compression-extension “ KZbin is filled with )) and please, more footage from the guy who shoots 24p with ND filters (at 3:00, 4:00 and 4:25) - feast for the eyes 👌👀👍
