A lot of surfers back where I surf usually say the best part of the tide to go surfing is high tide, but from what you say low tide works out better since you can get a nice steep wave that continues to break several times while you're riding it. This is somewhat confusing for me...
@jackschreuder56577 жыл бұрын
bluefirex24 depends how shallow your break is and if it's a beach reef or point etc as a general rule of thumb low to mid tide on the incoming is best for beach breaks and points but high tide for reefs or shallow rocky breaks

Turning the board around; I'd like to see a decent instructional video on that. I've gone from struggling to do it at all to turning 180 degrees in what I'd estimate to be about 4 seconds, but I've seen the experienced surfers do it in one swift 1-2 second manoeuvre. How is this done?
@williamjoyner37683 жыл бұрын
I usually bend and look where I want to go or I angle my board in a position I want to go.
@brad92053 жыл бұрын
@@williamjoyner3768 I was referring to what I now know is called seated turns. Sitting on board watching the swells then having to turn the board toward the beach quickly. My turns were always a drawn out panic rather than the silky rotation that the more experienced surfers would do. I have since improved.
