When testing the cream what do you look for exactly and how much pressure do you use to know it will be okay to do with surface cleaner
@PressureCleaningSch
@PressureCleaningSch 4 жыл бұрын
Dawson Hanson I look for two things one that the cream is being removed and exposing the aggregate which are the small rocks in the concrete mix. 2) The water on the spot I’m testing will look white and milky. I use an adjustable wand And I start on low pressure and slowly increase it. If I can get all the way to full pressure without any issues that I know I can use my surface cleaner

Doug, do you have any content that elaborates on the testing portion where you are discussing "cream?" What will indicate that the concrete will etch? Will it visibly be a different texture, or is there more to it?

How would you clean it if rocks would show? Also can you use same nozzles for 2 different surface cleaners but same inches round
@PressureCleaningSch
@PressureCleaningSch Жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by rocks would show. If a pebble rock driveway, then I would use larger office nozzles to knock the pressure down and increase flow. And yes, you can use two different nozzles. Just can’t use two different size nozzles on the same surface cleaner.

would it be safe to use 10% sh in a bucket and downstream it as is for treating concrete, and what about doing house washing? I can't seam to find good information any where, mainly because my pressure washer is just a 2.5 gpm machine vs what most people have of 4gpm and above, my chemical injector is also made it seams for 3.5 - 5 gpm, or something around that range, I bought my chemical injector from doug rucker store I guess they don't make them for a 2.5 gpm, I am also in need of a jrod and not sure which to buy.
@PressureCleaningSch
@PressureCleaningSch 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use 10% SH. Yeah very hard to get the injectors, fittings, etc from a distributor like us fir a 2.5 GPM. For those I always suggest trying to manufacture of your pressure washer or where you bought it. Those really aren’t designed for the type of cleaning we do and the strength of SH we use like 10%.

What do you do with the puddling and gunk that sometimes builds up at the bottom of the driveway?
@PressureCleaningSch
@PressureCleaningSch 4 жыл бұрын
First and foremost we always analyze and look for low spots, we then clean those first before water can puddle up in them. Then as we are cleaning other areas of the concrete or house, we allow that water to soak into the landscape, takes a little time and will leave the dirt, we then lightly mist the residual dirt towards the landscape...sometimes takes a couple times doing that. If needed we use a sludge sucker hooked to a pressure washer and pump the water out.

Hi Doug, Thank you for all your tips. This will help me work more efficient. For pre-treat what's the best mix ratio and best chemical to use? Also it seams like you still see lines with any surface cleaner and pressure washer. At the end of the video you can see the line from your large wheel surface cleaner. I guess that's normal.
@PressureCleaningSch
@PressureCleaningSch 4 жыл бұрын
Michael C I’ve never pre treated with more than a 20% mix. If we do pre treat it’s usually by down streaming. Yeah the lines are just going to be depending on how porous the concrete is. No real way to eliminate that. When dry you don’t see them until a few months down the road as it starts getting dirty again you will.
