Not knowing a lot about computers, my surface is a 1 with 64GB memory......which is running out of space. I have read that my hard drive is soldered. I just wanted to confirm that the upgrade is suitable for my laptop. thanks

This is a very helpful video. I have a few questions. I'm about to buy the ssd but I don't know what gen of the ssd I should get and are the heat pad and shield reusable or I have to get new. Thank you.

it is an 2230. the heatpad must be new as far as I see, and the shield is re-usable as long as it is carefully removed and restored.

Yes you can, just be sure to input the serial number of the pc you wish to restore.
