Nice one! I wrote a few expressions, that show you the difference of two dots in x-axis, y-axis and in diagonal. The difference is also shown by lines connecting the two dots in the listed axis.

Great tutorial mate, just stumbled upon your channel yesterday, can't believe there is a channel this popular about AE and VFX and I was unaware of it. KZbin recommendation settings are rubbish. I'm learning JavaScript myself and was wondering if the ternary operator can be used in AE. Now I'm really looking forward to the next episode!

Thank you for the awesome comment :) Glad to hear you enjoyed it. While JavaScript has things you can't do in AE as AE uses an 'adaptation' of JavaScript, you can use a lot of things you'd usually find in JS like ternary operators, loops, variables and more :)

please do something more advanced for people who understand code but haven't coded AE and want to do more complex things, like have master controls (sliders etc) controlling the timing of multiple layers for deep effects with simple input parameters (parametric design). Great start.

I am not sure I understand, but seems like you are talking about shallow depth of field - just Google it, no VFX needed :)

Use Preview (pre-render or cache your frames). Trying to just play it back won't work unless you have a beast of a computer
