Dude I think the whole idea at the beginning of this channel was just to get people's subscribers and sympathy to subscribe. I think she actually stumbled on a clever niche or way of getting KZbin attention. I don't think she was ever without friends or without things to do and a certain type of career in mind. I think she was just playing the audience you know what I mean? Just guessing, but probably the daughter of a very rich parents or something period and just thought she would try a channel. And thought the low-key Vibe way was the way to do it

Yeah this feels way more authentic than just cooking indoors. This feels more like a travel, do things, and meet people, kind of channel. If you cook with them you cook with them, if you surf with them you surf with them. Meeting up, doing things, and learning skills and making friends along the way. You'll calibrate and find regular content to film on top of doing and learning new stuff.

Very good! I was gifted a large surf board and first time went surfing the waves caught it and it disappeared only to come down on my head. I woke up under water and was ok. Lump on my head. I tried to surf a lot and never did it well, but never hurt myself again. My balance sucks and I didn't care. Had a lot more fun boogie boarding. That was Santa Barbara, California. Small sharks sometimes swam around legs but never bothered anyone and I was out there countless times.

Been watching all of your videos and this one is outstanding! It really looked like you were having fun. If you stick with surfing you may find everything that you have been seeking. There is certainly something about the passion of surfing. Once you are able to gain a little confidence, the rest will come naturally. Great way to meet friends & you certainly have the surfer girl look. Kudos to you for giving it a shot. Even if you don't post/produce surfing videos, give surfing a decent chance.

Not a surfer myself, but growing up along the coast of California, the temptation is sometimes there. I've been boogey boarding, which is tons of fun. Body surfing is also fun, and very cheap. It's just your body riding the waves. Keep trying, and eventually you'll get it. Go forth and conquer!

You got a workout for sure Erika. I learned under similar surf conditions at Waikiki. The real waves were coming in North Shore at eight and nine feet on the other side of the island, so it was a real struggle where I was. Nice video!

If you want to switch from surfing to reading about surfing for a while BARBARIAN DAYS - A Surfing Life by William Finnegan is a spectacular book. I just finished it. Turns out it’s about much more than surfing. Really recommend.
