It's not really about luck. If you really wanna go, then you should go. I was born in cold, grey and rainy Europe, surrounded by communist style buildings growing up inland and I could only surf in the summer when my dad or friends would take me. Then I turned 18, got a job, saved some money and flew to California, worked hard to get a green card, started working in the surf industry and now finally landed a job in Hawaii after trying for the last 5 years. It's not luck, it's hard work. It took me 12 years to get to Hawaii, ill be 30 next month. If I can do it, anyone can.

@@RedLineShortFilms not many people these days have the dedication or hard work you have anymore. My job dictates where I live, doesn't mean I can't quit. Just means I wouldn't be retiring in 8 years. I've chosen my path and that's what I get. I've had so many comrades get stationed in Hawaii as well, but when I put it on my list of places to go for work they send me to my last pick. One day as you say I will go to Hawaii, I won't know if it will be to stay or to visit for a lengthy period of time.

There is also a secret spot at the very west end of sand island just across the outlet right there. breaks like Vland with very little people ever out.
