Wutever is true or not true about his dad in old news when I showed up on the North Shore as a new Christian he was incredibly kind to me. He told me a little about the drama he and Makua were going through but he was super humble about it. He was definitely the guy to fear in those days but he picked me up when I was hitchhiking was encouraging when I first started surfing the outer reefs in his backyard made jokes about how terrible I painted my Harley and was so admirably dedicated to his young boy. Every time I saw Makua back then he had a huge smile on his face big eyes and big Shaka sign. Eddie must’ve done something right. His boys seem to be doing well

I'll never forget this quote from JBG from the 90s: "I grew with nothing, now I have a house, a car and a wife" . Equaling a wife to a thing or possession during an interview without even noticing says something about a person. I just hope he didn't think he owned his wife the same way Eddie R. did. It can't be denied that Rabbit, Ian, and PT needed to be taught a very hard lesson back in the 70's. You don't go anywhere and try to take over, then insult the people that live there. Anywhere, .... even if it's Rhode Island, or Galveston, Durban, or Sydney. Roll the dice and take your lumps like a man.
