Here is a tip for you - a great product to pick up all your oil spills on that new concrete - wood ash! When you burn wood in your fireplace, wood furnace or just a pile of limbs, etc, gather up some of the ashes and keep a bucket of them handy in the shop for scattering on spills! I like mine to be the real fine stuff, so I built a wood frame, attached a piece of screen to it for separating out the larger unburned pieces. Scatter the ash on a spill, leave it overnight and sweep it up the next day or whenever you get to it! It works great and the price is right!

That little MHF makes your new shop look quite a bit larger than your combine did.😄 As an Architect I specify 20% solids epoxy as a deep saturating floor sealer for shop floors. Any leftover epoxy (JT Special blend) thinned down will do to stop oil saturation, 2 thin coats applied with a squeege or short nap roller. Something to consider.

Should remove the shift lever small pin goes through the ball and check the end of lever for excessive wear and it is possible to align the selectors through the oil plug

Nice one j.t. you might want to look in to it a bit on paint. Because I think all tin work should be grey and all the running gear should be gold. But its all up to you. Out off the the paint you want I would go red and grey. I don't like yellow when it's new paint when iv had yellow tractors I just leave them in work clothes. That's why I like your forklift she looks nice. Just need wing done and lights. But your tractors you do what you really like. Ether way long as your happy we are all happy for you and keep watching. Hey JT nice job getting to it, I think it was 22 years ago when I had to split my M-F 50 to replace the the shifter fork that I broke; Mine broke off on one side I thought it was strange the way yours broke off at the top. I had to get a refurbished one. I felt like Jed Clampett when I started draining the gear oil out; 8 gallons later I thought I had struck Texas Tea lol. Thanks for the refresher; Something I never want to do again. I did shop it out last Dec. have a clutch put in, & a seal that was leaking real bad well worth it plus my garage was tide up with other projects. I like the red, & argent🍻.

Seeing those dry leaves next to the valve cover under the tank reminds me of an important PSA and story! I have a huge walnut tree and during the summer to free up shop space I park my tractor under it! Normally I always either hit it with a leaf blower b4 starting or at a minimum compressed air. One day I was in a hurry and only using it to pull the neighbor out of the ditch cause he cut the driveway to sharp and dropped his back tire in. Anyway I noticed smoke and smelling burnt leaves I shut her down grabbed my mini fire extinguisher and wouldn’t u know it failed so off to the shop for a known good extinguisher, got the fire out and luckily only had to replace the plug wires. Always blow off your tractor and always keep a known good extinguisher on the tractor! Even if you don’t park under a tree, squirrels and mice will try to pack your tractor with tinder for you!

Our 135 Massey is pretty much the same as this one. Ours used to get the gears stuck. Couldn’t shift. We took that access cap off to the left of the shifter. Gives you access to the transmission. With crow bar Troy can gently slide the gears backwards and it frees it up. Used to happen frequently.we also had water in the transmission too. It can find its way in.

1954 to end of 1955 Serial# 140,001 to 167,156 were Gray sheet metal w/G cast. 1956 to end of 1957 Serial# 167,157 to 178,215 were Beige sheet metal w/Vlint gray cast. 1958 to merge with Massey Sereal#178,216 to 211,071 were Red sheet metal w/Flint gray cast. The yellow COULD be that it was painted for highway work. I'm an originalist. You have the serial number so you can decide. 👍🏻
