What an interesting story, especially concerning the lungs. I have UCTD and I have small nodules on my fingers and elbow. Curious if some RA patients or a rheumatoid disease patients present with high d-dimer blood tests. My dr ordered one and I had a high d-dimer and had to go straight to the CT lung scan. My lungs are perfect. And, no clots. I looked into this and read some RA patients can have high d-dimer. Apparently it can be caused by inflammation.

I have seropositive rheumatoid arthiritis Doctor noticed the nodules I was and still taking plancquil now started taking methotrexate Thursday was 4 now 6 pills so what will it do for my nodules I already have Surgeon said I need ankle fusion which I don't want and said plancquil is not working he says I need stronger medicine I hardly have pain just right ankle goes outward when I stand up. What is your thoughts?

Apparently I have RA nodules in my lungs, otherwise I have no more nodules in or on my body.I did have a carcinoid tumour removed from my lungs 10 yrs ago . But then they said I had sarcoidosis in my lungs , I am on Rituxan , so technically I do not really know what I have ,just depends what doctor I go to

Yes. I have both, as well as Felty's Syndrome, fibromyalgia, type 2 diabetes, degenerative disc disease with many spinal issues (bone spurs, compression fracture) along with bunions and hammer toes.

I have RA. I had a nodule before taking methotrexate. It shrank after taking methotrexate. Never went away but shrank.

Can you speak to what to do if someone has sero- negative RA based on symptoms and imaging, has nodules, and is using Hydroxychlo and Ibuprofen. Does that mean it’s time to make a change?
