If you can consistently go into the light one with mixed hands, or with pure armes dragon cards, I believe the deck should play fine. It's more a question of whether the deck can get enough Drulers into rotation (and getting to the dark baby to fuel the XYZ extension) in those worst case scenarios, I'd think.

Wights are my pet deck and these cards are perfect for the archetype. One of the biggest pain points for a lot of builds is that zombie decks, and Wight decks specifically, are heavily normal summon reliant and Moissa allowing that extra normal is fantastic way to smooth that out without sacrificing the deck's core identity of big number THWAK. The only thing I would really want at this point is a Wight Field Spell that lets you reccur banished Wights and either a Link-1 that searches the field spell or archetypal Necroworld Banshee that searches the field spell when sent to the GY.

I think it's way more in theme for them to just print effect that just prevent king's attack from being lowered. And instead of immunity, just make something that bring back king from banishment. Maybe also gy immunity instead of field immunity. Keeping the "extremely fragile but it just keep coming back" identity of the king of skull servant intact.

King is vulnerable to everything except battle(or spell/traps if lady is on the field), and most removal these days comes in the way of monsters. Having another layer of unaffected on king would make it so that your opponent needs to pick apart your other skull servants first to attempt to hit king.

@@NickMpSC2 She can also Fusion Summon Sheou in the Standby Phase by putting House back into the extra deck, and because it's the standby phase, Sheou can now activate her special summon too. That's pretty spicy. You just re-fuel Sheou's negate every single standby phase without losing any tempo.

You still don't have to cut the servants and prince. Thanks to the new spell, you can just toss prince into grave with even more consistency. Running moissa also means that you can just slap it on the board with the extra normal and make some new link lines (assuming you don't use the search or revive early, you can double black rose/tartarus, then plop down the spell and just otk. Also, next time they print a support for the deck, if it can add a servant/servant mention from gy/banished to hand, it would almost immediately kick the deck into meta status, because the main issue of the deck right now (post master and moissa), is that the skull servants are dumb hard to bring back to hand (the place where princess, baking, wightmare, and wightlord really matter) after putting them in grave or banishing them. Currently, the only real weakness that the deck has is that the severe lack of matching backrow. Skull servant is looking about one or two good spells away from hitting meta level.

It truely is a wight christmas this year. I'm eating good this month. The only issue is with the new cards is, it locks me out of a lot of tech cards like "almiraj", "anima", "number 26" or "unicorn". I would really appreciate some kind of built in board breaker or link-1 or link-2 monster that requires a card mentiontioning skull servant. I would say the best new "skull servant" support we got this year is "tartarus" which is somewhat of a "spell speed 4: zeus", capable of wiping the board mid combo for an otk. Having 2 normal summons provides more opportunities and more bodies on the board to wipe the field. I'll have to do some testing to see if it ups the consistancy enough, problem is always playing through a negate wall and "yubel + nightmare". Will likely do that in a few weeks from now.

a few things... - I wish Wigh Moissa wasn't as fragile as a normal since you naturally go second (don't lock until you use the second normal) - The continuous Spell should ALSO be skull servant in gy • it shouldn't target, it should revive from GY or Banishment, and it should foolish as cost. Three changes and it makes it much more elegant, also once we get ~40-50 main deck skull servants we're gonna need ED skull servants...

Am I missing something about the new Dragonmaids? The new fusion makes the deck more consistent but as far as I can tell its ceiling is still just Seals + Sheou + Tidying, which was a board it could already make four years ago. And it still can't do that without opening one of Parlor/Kitchen/Chamber and Tidying/Hospitality. I guess you can also have Sheou summon either the new 9 to protect herself better? Or Chamber for followup on the next turn? But the deck was already doing the latter, and the Chamber starter will shuffle both of those back so you can't even do that unless you opened Parlor or Kitchen.

It’s mostly just consistency, with Parlor and I think Kitchen now being a 1cc for Seals, Sheou, and Tidying, and it makes it a bit more flexible, able to slot in other dragon adjacent engines, but at the end of the day, Dragonmaid never really was meant to have a high ceiling, it’s a midrange deck that accumulates resources and then OTKs with big dragons, so imagine that’s what they were leaning on, though that is pretty bad in this current meta. I imagine we’ll be getting more support later down the line, hopefully a stronger fusion that gives protection or creates a bunch of interrupts so it can do its gameplay better.

@@Endershock1678 2-card combo for Parlor and Kitchen, the deck can still only search one S/T and needs to resolve Hospitality as a part of the combo. So the actual 1-card gets you to Sheou + Seals, and to add Tidying to that you need to either hard-draw it or start with Hospitality in-hand so that Chamber can spend her search on Tidying instead.
