Missed you lads, i thought maybe you had to flee the country. Youre my lifeline for when my missus makes my 71 year old body lay a slab of concrete, fix her car and mow the lawn, saying "no detecting today". Great finds too. The D on the weight stands for DWT which is the real name of pennyweight used for measuring gold since jesus was a boy. Thanks for the history and the video lads I really appreciate it

Gday fellas. Well done on the gold. Nice. Well done on spotting the rubber in the pipe. I would have said candle stick from here. I thought the weights were from an apothecary weight set that all nest together into the last one that has a lid on it but you did the weighing so they match for gold weights. Now….. The rivet / cuff link is a nut and bolt out of a hand saw. One of the ones that doesn’t have the medallion on it. There is a piece of square shaft up against one side to stop it from turning in the timber when the nut gets tightened. Now you’ve heard from me🤣🤣. Take care fellas 😁👍

G'day mate! Good to hear from you. I thought candle stick too but when we saw the rubber, pretty certain hookah pipe! Thanks for the info on the hand saw!! Hope you are doing well and keeping safe. Cheers, Ant & Glenn

I enjoy watching your videos because they are full of humour and excellent information. Your unique perspective and engaging delivery make learning from you both entertaining and informative. Keep up the great work! I am only a newbie at detecting and have not found any gold, only plenty of lead shots. However, your videos have inspired me to keep practicing and learning more about metal-detecting techniques. I look forward to eventually finding my first gold with your helpful tips!

A great day with gold, relics and yarns, Glenn & Ant! Your rivet or cufflink is neither, gents, it's from a hand-held saw, square shank up one roundel end, square to grip into the wooden handle, and the other end is round and threaded to screw in, there'd be a larger "cufflink" with the same square to round shank, and would have a logo and slogan on the bigger roundel, like "Superior Warranted" with lion & unicorn, for example. These statewide pine plantations are great for everyone, except for bushfire warning days, ie the entire summer, usually, as designated permitted gold AND relic prospecting parks, there should be no issues with hunting relics too as the"context" or original land layout had been mucked around with so much, technically speaking!, that Heritage Victoria can't complain about the Forestry Commission bulldozers and the schools of forestry for returned services from 2 world wars, they dare not whinge as they'd like to about this, plus the gold rushes made the governments strong, but the people who made the rushes demanded also their rights with fairer responsibilities they demanded of them. Parks Vic & Forestry Vic should assist the prospecting public, to get outdoors, healthy, interested in history, and their own pride in their lands and ecology, our ownership! Not putting up locked gates, park fees, prohibitions! Colonial rule ended in 1901, they need reminding! Can't let Heritage Victoria keep people from taking part in that very same heritage, in this, the 170th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade! So... Eureka! & Jebedali boys! Gabi of Narre Warren
@victoriangoldhunters9 ай бұрын
Thanks so much Gabi!!! Appreciate your support and couldn’t agree with you more!!! It’s a terrible shame the way heritage Victoria are treating prospectors these days. Thanks for the info on the hand saw as well! Well spotted. Cheers and all the best, Ant & Glenn 👍😊🍻 jebedali!!

Good to see you blokes back on the hunt, A bit of gold each, so no one goes home disappointed. Once again CBK has beaten me to the punch with the rivet lookalike, nut and bolt from a saw! Never been stung by a Scorpion, so dont know how bad there sting is, Jumping jacks ive been bit multiple times, And they bloody hurt for ages. Im not to fond of them. So you found a jungle gym out in the bush, seems appropriate. Cheers!

Lead is sitting at around $2 per kilo so put all that lead into a bucket and by next Christmas you can buy a single beer with the proceeds. Nice pieces of gold you found too. Are the scorpions venomous or just feels like a bee sting?
