@@roymoxley2587 In his comments no where did he say "increase or hold value" he said value keeper. There are a lot of specialty vehicle that keep their value. Things such as Raptor and TRX trucks, ZL1 Camaro, Z06 corvette and Hellcats all keep their value. Meaning they get a better return on sale than a normal vehicle, and keep that through their life cycle. When you trade or sell a normal truck or car a year after purchased you may lose 20 to 30k in value. Some speciality vehicle will hold that value better, and you may only lose 5k - 10k.

I dont think so. I know very deepest on any mustang and almost any car I know for over 20 years of deeply researched on every details of the car parts etc. Dark Horse with 10 speed auto will wins. Also Heavier than 2018+ S550 GT. +40HP AT 7,250RPM THAN S550. DARK HORSE WINS. TOP SPEED... DARK HORSE G PAST 190 MPH GPS ON CORRECT FIXTURE THAN FACTORY.

As a recent 350R owner I was gonna wait for the DH to come out but after test driving the R I couldn’t live without it! I’m old school and love analog, and just don’t care about tech that much… sorry to say the more I see the DH it looks like a Camaro ! Also I was flipping a coin on a 22 Mach 1 new more logical probably ! But the VooDoo geeked me out had to have that , and roll the bones on motor! I’ve never regretted it 9 months in!

Great video! Overall the GT350 is an all time classic, and the more enjoyable driving experience. For straight line speed and performance, a Mach1 would be the way to go over the Dark Horse. The Dark horse statistically right now on a dyno doesn't make more power, is heavier , and can not be tuned. (And when they do find a way to tune it, the computer can snitch on you over wireless). So even a gen1 coyote with just FBO and a tune could outperform the dark horse in a straight line making the same HP but weighs 400 pounds less. And 90-100k dealer mark ups for slight tweaks, a body kit and amazon tablets is not a very good deal, if one can get a new Mach 1 for half the price. With Camaro and Dodge now gone removing healthy competition, we are back to the 1994/2005 Ford stagnation era.

I love the GT350, but I could live with the Dark Horse better as a daily driver. More tech and a more usable powerband compared to the GT350. Unless you're going to the track to road race your vehicle, the Dark Horse would be the better choice. I believe you'll have fewer maintenance issues with the Dark Horse as well.

Plenty of usable powerband using the gt350 as a daily. You just need to stop shifting gears so early. Hold the lower gears longer. You’re going to burn gas either way so 🤷🏾‍♂️. I love my gt350 as a daily.

@kennethwilliamsinc GT350s lacks HP/TQ in the lower RPM range. Just like any flat-plane engine, you have to rev the sh*t out of it to feel any power down low. The Coyote 5.0 is a much better engine as a daily because the power comes in sooner in the RPM range.

Really like my S550 body and interior better than the S650. It's a 19 and made sure to get the old analog gauges from 15-17 years so would be more timeless and not look outdated in 5-8 years from now.

Nice, I bet if you had done a faster roll around 40-45, Shelby would have put an extra car on the dark horse. 30mph is pretty low in the rpm range considering redline is around 55mph.

Boosted 5.0 is the funnest car I’ve ever had. I had a Hellion car and also a Whipple car. Both are equally as fun. But at high elevation where I am, boost is a MUST for these cars. The NA cars at 4500 ft are slugs 😅

Both cars are pretty even in performance but as mentioned. The 5.0 has a better low end performance than the Voodoo. Ask yourself why Ford has never used the Voodoo in any other Mustangs especially in racing. The Dark Horse is a better overall Mustang from exterior and interior styling. The Coyote is more dependable especially when adding Boast. There are no new GT350 Mustangs and buying a pre-owned one is a hugh concern. Even the new flat plane engine being used in the C8 Z06 is having issues. "From GM*. According to General Motors, the issue can manifest as a ticking, tapping, or snapping noise from the engine on some units of the 2023 Corvette Z06. It's unknown at this time how many units may be affected. GM notes that the LT6 incorporates a mechanical valvetrain design. It appears that during one of your roll race. The GT350 flew by the Dark Horse likely from a missed shift. I recommend timing each car running individually from a set starting mph using the same neutral driver in each car. I expected the GT350 and Dark Horse to be dead equal, but you know drivers can make a difference as you moved from the Dark Horse to the GT350. Like I mentioned earlier. Time them using a neutral driver who will not miss a gear. Regarding digs. Running on a dragstrip eliminates timing issues as long as someone doesn't miss a gear. I say this because I've missed a few 2nd to 3rd shifts before going with an automatic and won several races when my opponent missed a gear.

As someone that’s owned 2 GT350s both got K&Ns and a tune because they are bottom end gutless! The DH will with the track package will be the clear winner with a few light mods and a tune for the bottom end torque that’s required!

StangMode interesting video comparison; however, I believe the a HP Mach 1 vs. HP Dark Horse would be better. I have always liked the 350 but won’t ever buy one due to the lack of reliability. Two friends in my neighborhood each had GT 350 cars and blew their engines. Both friends sold their cars after Ford replaced their engines. Likewise I have been on the list for 3 years for the C8 Z06. Most likely gonna pass because of the flat plane crank concern. Their is a reason why Ferrari & BMW built smaller V8 engines that were FPC. I have seen 3 Dyno results on the Dark Horse giving out 430-445 SAE RWHP. So with the good engine internals and once boosted & reduce some weight it will be fast. Please disregard the STEEDA Dyno done during hurricane weather with crazy DA so their dyno was a huge failure. People think that the DH is underpowered because of their dyno. Checkout the Dearborn Ford guys & the Ford guys thar Dynode at >440 rwhp. Without too much effort you can remove 120 pounds off of the DH. So the newer enhancements in braking, handling & aerodynamics the DH really is the better car than the 350. You should not blame Ford for the excessive price of the DH over the Mach 1. That inflation expense blame goes on biden!!!!! The next Shelby GT-500 should be outrageous!!!! Oh the 10R80 Dark Horse would have blown away the 350. Cheers Bro!!!

The dark horse has been a disappointment. Gt350 came out in 2015 with 526hp and started at $49k. Gt350r was $64k. Fully loaded dark horse is $70k plus with 500hp and doesn’t improve that much over a base 5.0.

For everybody's information, there're a few differences between 2015-2018 and 2019-2020 GT350s. One of them is ECU upgrade in 2019-2020. I tracked 2018 GT350 and I own 2019 GT350. There is a difference on low RPM between these two. 2019 GT350 is noticeable faster on low RPM due to ECU upgrade. For me, it's not how fast car on the straight line, it's rather driver-car connection. And GT350 is the one of them, and GT350 is a special car.

Here's the true antecedent to the GT350: The Boss 9. Both have special engines that bog down and have no power at low RPMs. Both will be very rare, very sought after collector cars due to those engines, with the Boss 429 being that way now and the Shelby in 10 years.

My 2020 GT350R has never burned oil. I did a 1k break in period and immediately switched to Lucus Oil engine and differential fluids. Not all Shelbys burn oil. My car had 5 miles on it when I received it from the dealership. The 350R would have performed better if started from 3200 RPM. That is the pull spot.
