What a fun day! We live up in WI and have visited Chicago many times. My parents took me all the time as a kid. All I can say is Peter was a great tour guide!! I want to "Hire" him to take me around. So glad you drove by The Home Alone house - such a neat piece of pop culture. I was thrilled to hear you say you're going back at Christmas time - you will absolutely love it! Lastly - Peter's house is gorgeous!

I LOVE Chicago!!! Every building and bridge you showed , made my heart melt ♥ The Hancock Building is one of my favorites! It has THE BEST VIEWS! I have never paid for the observation level. We always go to the bar on the 95th floor, The Signature Room, and get a drink and enjoy all the views from there! The BEST view is, believe it or not ~ in the ladies restroom!!!! Next trip you go, you should check it out!!! So much to see, do and EAT in Chicago!!! I love the Water Tower Place building (you showed it), there is a theatre inside, we saw a LIVE Performance there, David Schwimmer is one of the founding persons (Looking glass Theatre Group). You might remember him from the show FRIENDS,, he played Ross Geller. The old opera house, post office, library, the Wrigley Building, the twin corn cob buildings, on the boat architectural tour is ThE BEST! GARRETT'S POPCORN~ SOOOO YUMMY!!! i could go on and on.... Peter was a fantastic private tour guide!!! Thag famous Chicago fire, there is a story that the Orleans cow tipped over a lantern and the barn fire is what started the whole thing! Chicago is definitely poppin'! I do think Manhattan has more iconic landmarks. Times Square, 🗽, Empire State Building, Central Park, etc. I love South Street Seaport. But Chicago still rocks!
