Dee, I from Atlanta but moved there in January 2022. I used to live in the unit next door to where you're staying in Ladyville & caught the bus just like you did. One thing I want to tell you is when the buses are on a break, they'll just go past you without saying anything...I laughed when you were trying to run it down cause I did the same thing. I'm visiting St. Vincents and the Grenadines for the holidays and will return to Belize later this month. Watch yourself in the City and also where you're staying. Do not go out after dark. Placencia, Caye Caulker & San Pedro are safer tourist areas. Happy New Year!!!

Belizean coconuts are the best. They are very sweet you should try to buy one that have an apple inside. Is delicious.

I am listening to the accent, which sounds similar to the Jamaica patwa, and researched it. The black community in Belize was brought to Belize from Jamaica by the government at the time and that was to cut down log wood, and mahogany etc. They are our brothers and sisters there. Hello cousins ❤
