I was in tears while you were thanking your husband and Mom. My Mom came 2,000 miles to stay with us after we had the twins. I was so thankful for her help, encouragement and love.for our little family.. I remember standing at the window with tears running down my cheeks, a baby in each arm crying thinking, we will never survive, but we did by the grace of God.

What I have enjoyed most about your vlog is that you and Brad share your "Attitude of gratitude " so openly. I know how tough a twin pregnancy, C-section , tending to twins and having a partner in the military are on a couple. I love the way you appreciate your husband's good looks & the rest of him too. ; ) He is handsome in his uniform. It is so nice to have your Mom there to remind you that the difficult parts won't last forever. Sometimes when you have a baby that screams for hours on end it's difficult to think straight. I had a very difficult time sleeping when I thought my babies might need me, even though I knew my Mom had them and I trusted her completely (she is the baby whisperer). Rach, you seem so relaxed. Sometimes I thought I would unravel. My babies had colic but I only had one baby at a time. Although when I had the 2nd I had a 2 yr old. My mom came around to help me whenever she could. My husband worked a lot of overtime but when he was home he was completely hands on. He was my hero every time he walked in the front door.

Yes. The babies weren't the surprise. He just had to work a very long shift so he wasn't going to be able to see them all day. So his wife and mother-in-law surprised him with a little visit.

Rach, I am so glad that you're so appreciative for Brad and Barb... This coming from a woman who has a firefighter husband who isn't around much for help and when he is, feels like it's a mom's job...Also, a mother who would be willing to help, but not if it isn't her style of parenting or her way... You are beyond blessed to have such caring, kind, and respectful people to help you get through this time. And your mom is beyond full of wisdom. "This too shall pass". You will miss those sleepless nights with those tiny babies. It goes by way too fast.

I definately understand what you are going through! I have twin boys myself! They are turning 21 soon!! It's very, very, hard when they are little for sure! Non stop work around the clock for a few years! It gets better when they start school! I put mine in preschool at the age of 3 and it was Great! They love it and so did I !! They learn alot at an early age and they learn how to socialize with young children and other adults! This video made me cry!! You are doing a Fantastic job with them babies! Your Mom is the bestest Mom ever to stay with you and help you out during your time with the babies!! You need all the help you can Get!! Just remember to take naps and walks everyday you need it to feel better and take care of yourself!! Most importantly!! Your husband looks like an amazing Daddy to those precious babies!! You can see the Love and Joy he has for them and for you for sure!! He was so excited to see the babies and go for a walk with them!!! Love eachother as much as possible!! Rachel the ending made me cry. Your mom is just like my mom was after I had my two daughters a year apart. She was always there for me but never told me how to raise them. She unfortunately passed away in 2006 when my daughter's were 3 & 4. You do have a wonderful mom and husband.

I remember all those long restless nights. Our daughter is 3 now, and we are expecting #2. We must be crazy, for doing this all over again, we will have many nights of no sleep and frustrated feelings, but I'm excited to see God's plan for another miracle. I have only seen one (1) vlog so far, but I like how all the grownups are so good with one another. Your vibes are so good and it reminds me of our daughter and son-in-law. I help them with their now seven (7) weeks old little cutie. I even helped them when she was a new, newborn, as in just hours old. I am glad you allow your mom to help, as I did my mom. I was so greatful she came over the 1st morning after coming home with our newborn son. She is no longer with us, and memories of all she did to help come to mind when I see what other moms do to help, too!

Second your dear momma .......she said the very same thing that I said to my daughter that struggled with infertility for 7 years, and by the grace of God got pregnant through IVF and she and her husband are also Military small world sometimes. I said to her when her little one would be up countless hours a night “ Remember when you prayed and prayed for a blessing and you would take that blessing at any cost”??? And she would smile looking so exhausted and say yes mom God is good and I am so thankful 😊❤️

He is amazed he didn’t kill him every year as he was a BART SIMPSON, is now 45 yrs old, an Army LTC in Cyber Warfare and the father of two ACTIVE girls - one just entered teen age years! My twins are grown and adulting! But while they were infants they each had a different sleep time [ like it or not] So I would put on instumental music tape , and put the volume down low. I would also have a small fan and let it run all of the time. This way they do actually go back to sleep! Good Luck and God Bless!

All the sleepless nights are worth it for sure. I was born 3 months early and my Mother tells the story that I cried constantly. She said she would feed me, change my diaper and then they would roll be in my bassinet into the bedroom and shut the door! OMG, but I survived. Barb is wonderful!!!!! My Grandma was my favorite person in the world and taught me so much and mostly she loved me more than anything. I can see that Barb is that kind of Grandma. :)

ur hubby is such a blessing. I have a 14 week old and I have the whole night on my own and some nights I only get a couple hours of sleep and recently never more than 1.5 hrs in one block, sleep deprivation is so brutal. Daddy has to sleep so he can study for school unfortunately. It is so so tough, ur blessed!

Rach, I would try doing Lyndle’s bath before feeding her. If you keep the lights dim and bathe, lotion and put in sleepers then feed, read or sing and rock she might be more relaxed and able to sleep longer before waking up again. I have learned throughout my life and caring for many many different babies and children that there’s no right way and each baby/child has very different wants and needs with what works for them to get in their bedtime routine. While I was on modified bed rest for 3 months I played different kinds of music resting the headphones on my tummy and anytime I played piano music by George Winston my daughter would calm from her uterine dance party and during the first few weeks after being born we noticed that it had a similar affect on her so when it was near nap time or during the wind down and getting ready for bed we turned it on in the background and let it play softly after putting her in her bassinet and later her crib. She actually altered between bassinet and crib from the time she came home from the hospital. I was very blessed with an easy laidback baby who loved to sleep. She was a bit of a night owl then and can be now too as a teenager.

I just found your channel. :) We're also a navy family, so I completely feel you when it comes to the duty schedule rotation. It can be very challenging! I'm so glad you have your mom to help with the twins. Moms are the best!! :) We're expecting baby boy #2 any day now. I can't wait for my mom to arrive. Your babies are so precious!
