Dear family, I'm an adopted person, and from day 1 my parents told my brother and I that we were adopted. The reasoning behind this, is that some kids bully you if you're a bit different. My parents always told us that we weren't given away because we weren't loved, but that we were special, and we were chosen. My mom and dad were wonderful parents, and are now gone, but remain ever alive in our hearts. My mom found this little poem and it applies to adoptive kids. Not flesh of my flesh Nor bone of my bone But still miraculously my own I'll never forget For a single minute That you didn't grow under my heart But in it. Best wishes.

No, Ali God didn't choose your adoptive family (unless say you were rescued from child abuse). No, the multibillion dollar adoption industry chose your family as they subtly coerced your first mother into giving you away with comments like "they need a two parent family" and "finishing school is more important" and "you're still a kid, you need a life of your own".

My niece was adopted, and she has since met -- and has a relationship with -- her birth parents, of which I'm happy about. However, when she was a baby, and I'd feed her a bottle, I would hold her and look at her ... and tears would well up because I had this bittersweet feeling; I was so happy to be holding this adorable child (best time of my life) but yet so very sad for her birth mother, who was grieving over her loss. Adoption is such an emotional event.

@loridontcaretotellu64974 жыл бұрын
Wow, who hurt YOU so badly? I am sorry because it obviously made you very bitter and judgemental! You speak of Jesus in your above rant against adoption and yet Jesus HIMSELF went to the cross and was willing to be crucified so that WE could be adopted as children of God. How ironic and sad that you cannot see that! You incorrectly state that adoptive parents are atheists when every adoptive couple that I know (and I know many) are Christians! Please lose the bitterness either through therapy or other healthy means because your rants say as much negative about you as YOU say about loving birthparents and adoptive parents who only want to love their child.

If they were incredible they would be giving the money it costs to raise a baby to the young mother in need, and I bet they never thought about that but they should start. Cos if I had $28,000 (etc) instead of using that money to keep someone's baby I'd generously donate it to the young mom or young couple in need. If they really want to help a kid, they'd adopt an abused child or a baby born on drugs and only those type of kids.

I cried the whole time due to the fact that a mother gave her baby up. I'm so happy that she is with a family who will love her forever but I just can't believe that someone could carry a baby for 9 months, go through whatever kind of childbirth she went through, just to give her up. I can't stop crying this is heartbreaking for me 😭😭😭
@CalamityJane0317 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Whatever this woman's life journey has taken her to this decision, it is out of pure selflessness. Birth mom's are amazing, and wonderful, and incredibly selfless. She didn't give away her baby. She placed her into the loving, waiting arms of a family prepared to give her the best life she could need.
@thecleaninglady84217 жыл бұрын
That's understandable. It's hard to give up a child, but depending on the situation the mother may be unable to care for the child or the child may have come from an abusive mother. So while it is difficult, it's done out of love and protection for the child. :)

Sometimes the mother can not properly care for the baby, and she wants the child to have the best life as possible. For example, my mom was pregnant at a young age and lived in terrible conditions at home. She knew that the best decision would be to give the baby a better life instead of raising her in a horrible environment. My mom would not be where she is today, nor would I be here today, if she would have kept my half-sister. My half-sister understands this and she is grateful to have her own family. We are all still very close with her to this day and we see her all the time! Like someone else mentioned in these comments, giving up a baby is one of the most selfless things a mother can do!

I disagree with you....When I was 14, I Was raped and as a result became pregnant.....I hid the pregnancy for 8 months. Luckily, an AMAZING couple from my church, who were unable to have children met with me and adopted my son. He is 21 years old.. It was an open adoption and I couldn't have asked for my son to have any other parents than the ones he had... It's like I carried him JUST FOR THEM... like that's how it was supposed to happen... I'm thankful for them EVERYDAY..... 💟💟💟💟😇

Dear Matt and Katie, We have six kids (two biological and four adopted). I just wanted to say that I can see that you'll be excellent parents. If you ever want any long distance help, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm a school psychologist by training and all the kids that I've known over the years have taught me a lot. Take care, Deb

Absolutely lovely video capture, I relived the day I met my daughter Anaira, it's just pure love and nothing eles and you just know in your heart that you are this being parent. My life is sunshine and meaningful because of my daughter. To all the parents put there who have either given your children a lease at life and all those who have completed themselves, I must say we really got a chance at being really special

My older brother also birth adopted, my mom said she went to adoption agency and the agency gonna help you to find a baby or a mother whose pregnant but don't want to keep the baby actually the birth mother asked the adoption agency if someone's wants to have her baby. And then the parents filled a lot of paper and paying the birth mother to give birth... and sometimes, the birth mothers doesn't want to give up her baby... it took so long but you happiness is about long journeys that you have, right?

This warms my heart. I was adopted from Bolivia a couple days after turning one month old. This was probably how my parents reacted when they got me. She's so blessed to have parents like those two. I wish them a wonderful future!

best part is that they put God above them
@rootedtogrowwny7 жыл бұрын
Well if they put God above them, He would want them to take the money they are using to adopt a baby and give it instead to a young mother in need so she can keep her baby.
@rootedtogrowwny7 жыл бұрын
If you're being sarcastic then I am laughing. It just never made sense to me. Oh you're poor? Ok let me spend tens of thousands of dollars on adopting your kid instead of giving you the money for you to raise your kid. Really we call it adopting and legally we have to call it adopting but it's buying. The adoption industry racked in $12 billion in 2015. So many of these people only want to please themselves. If it were about kids they'd be taking in foster teens and crack babies, or foster teens with crack babies.

Women can put their babies up for adoption if they want to, it's their decision. Would you rather the baby be aborted? Thought everyone hated abortions but nope, we must love getting stuff put in our privates to scrap a bunch of cells out of us. :D
@rootedtogrowwny7 жыл бұрын
Roy bless your heart but you have no idea how much coercion goes into getting women and girls to give away their babies to adoption. The adoption industry is a multibillion dollar industry with no credentials, less regulations than our real estate industry, and no oversight. They use a lot of subtle coercive language practices and flat out lies to get women and girls to choose adoption. For example, they tell them open adoption is legally enforceable. Actually it's not and by the time the baby is in kindergarten about 75% of them close and the child and bio parents no longer see or here from each other. They also fail to inform people about the discrimination an adoptee will get. For example, even if a bio parent wants to pass along bio family medical information the adoption agency can decline to send it along, including in life or death situations. I recommend reading A Hole in My Heart by Lorraine Dusky. A story about a little adopted girl with epilepsy (sadly she died). The bio mom gave all bio medical family info. The pediatrician and adoptive parents asked for it. The agency Hillside of Rochester lied and said they don't have it. Adoption is not the answer to abortion. The answer to abortion is family preservation. Finding resources to help the mom keep her baby or find extended family to help out the mom. We need to stop saying these are unwanted pregnancies. It's the circumstances that are unwanted, such as abusive boyfriend or no money. Even in rape cases we are seeing more and more women keep their babies. I have a friend who has a 3 year old son. Her and her husband are raising him. She was kidnapped, raped, and nearly murdered by a serial killer. Serial killer is now dead (thank God). Sadly, our society hates children not conceived in the best way. Whether they are kept or adopted. Majority of women who look into abortion are in the first trimester and get it in the first trimester. Majority of women who look into adoption are already into their second if not third trimester. If the mother, or father, or extended family truly cannot care for the child or should not (ie drugs) then let's look at adoption but without the discrimination as I exampled above. Adoption can save lives, but let's not jump to it so quickly.
