How exciting! Our rescue a brindle great dane to a hit & run in front of my mom an amputee & 16 yr old daughter after a great day of play! Its been a heart breaking week. My 16yr old is independant & now she cant be alone!! Please pray for them as we heal & the breeder was sad & the God part is she has a 4 month old half sister to our sweet Babey😇❣️ whats the name of the song at the very end? I am so happy for you all. You are going to enjoy both of them and they will play together and run. We had a 1/2 Lab & 1/2 Golden we had Bella for 13 years. The house was to quiet. So we know have two males Arlo Blazee is 17 months and Keagan Roone is 10 months. They love to play together in the mud, dirt, and snow. They are the Best of Friends. We got Arlo when he was 12 weeks and Keagan was 8 weeks. Keagan runs the house for sure. They love to play together all the time. I can’t wait to see them running around outside all of you will have HUGE Smiles on your faces. They love water.

Our Beagle was 6 months old when we rescued our lab mix who was 7 months old. He growled at our Beagle over a treat within minutes. We made the Beagle Alpha dog as lab was food possessive due to hunger. He no longer was within weeks as we worked with him and got him to a good weight. They quickly became the best of friends and sleep curled up together woth each other. They would t even use separate crates they'd sleep all in the one and 10 years later are still the best of friends. So the growl to start doesn't mean they won't hit it off. The right support for them is what matters.

Awwe nice for Emily..I think once Emily has recovered from heartworm she will be much better. Heartworm is very hard on a dog..so let's hope Emily recovers real soon...such a hard battle. Was CLoe tested before they released her to a new family. Wish you all the best with your new addition..

I’m sure you know this since you have done so much research on rescue dogs. When you were talking any Emily not really playing I had a rescue dog for over a year before I ever saw him play. I bought him all the different kind of toys trying to get him into something and I still clearly remember the day he picked up a toy for the first time and wanted to play. He turned out to be the best dog I have ever had we had him for 7 years. Sometimes they just take a long time to really show their personalities.

Emily needed to be re-entroduced the right way…. She was surprised and was protecting her space…. But she came around! She needs to be greeted first, from the adults, when the two dogs are together, feed her first and make Chloe wait a second to be fed last…. It will help the pecking order for the two of them.

My husband I have rescued boxers and over 10 years, we have also rescued pugs, dogs from hoarders, horses and a few cats. We've rescued dogs that have severe anxiety. One of our dogs Brandie who was a puppy when we got her. Because of her being terrified of everything, noises and would be so depressed when we left the house. We rescued another another boxer for the most part for Brandie. If we left the house, she would sit and cry at the door. If we were gone and needed to have someone watch her or board her, she wouldn't eat and she was so terrified, she wouldn't even pee if someone was around her. We took her to the vets the day after we got her and we asked the vet about her fears and her bad health. We asked him if she would be so afraid would go away. It didn't get better until we got a second dog who was a white boxer. Adding him to our house made such a huge difference to Brandie. We still rescue dogs and other animals. I'm allergic to cats, so the 2 fosters we did had to be short term. It's awesome you were able to adopt Chloe.

We got two pups, brothers from the same litter, and their bond is amazing. However, the bond they have with us is also equally as amazing. My boy follows me around as I’m doing my homestead chores and my husband’s dog does the same. Their love for each other does not change their love for us ❤️
